Some of the recent reviews made me a bit hesitant about my booking, but we had a great stay. There was plenty of room in the room we stayed in, it was clean, and the staff was helpful. Some things are a bit dated but that didn’t take away from the experience. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed for a night for five people. The suite was appropriate size and had two queen beds and a sofa bed. The mattress for sofa bed was very thin but even then had adequate sleep. We had to checkout early due to an emergency. The staff were very accommodating and courteous. Check-in and check-out were very efficient and smooth. It’s very close to Drury Lane event centre. Parking is very very convenient.

Poor customer service. No parking after you are charged nightly for it and the front desk had no solution. Shooting the night before and all was blocked off with sheet due to death. Bed made with flat sheet I instead of fitted sheet. Rooms are outdated. TV NEVER HAD SIGNAL. Do not recommend.

Used to love this hotel -separate living area that can be closed off from bedroom so handy for families, as is large bathroom area. However, having come here for years, I can attest to the fact that nothing other than the tv has been upgraded- same dingy carpet, wallpaper and upholstery, tilted lampshades, towel hooks off the wall, grimy balcony window (no access to balcony), dim lighting and tv on some auto-dim setting that cannot be over-rode. I have been told for years that remodel is in the works, but that is obviously not true.

This Hilton has THE WORST customer service from the front desk people to the general manager. I’m a diamond member and so is my sister. My whole family stayed here in several rooms for my mother’s funeral. It was a stressful time for all of us and instead of showing compassion and providing good service, they simply made life difficult for us every time we had to deal with them (from check in to billing issues). There were too many unpleasant encounters with the various front desk people to share here. I also talked to the general manager and he was egotistical and non-helpful. The saying “A fish stinks from its head” surely applies here! One example I’ll share is at check in, the receptionist would ignore me, pick up the phone and instead of asking the caller to hold, she would help them and leave me standing there unacknowledged. She would pick up calls after calls. This practice happened every time I was at the front desk, day or night.

First of all the inside of the hotel is amazing… The pool was ok and the jacuzzi never got warm. The digital key from Hilton app worked maybe 60% of the time. Now for the room. We stayed 3 nights in a 2 room suite on the 10th floor. As soon as we walked in the room we could smell marijuana and smoke, which wasn’t bad but could smell it. I noticed wallpaper was falling off the main area. The balcony door handle was missing. Walked into the 2 queen bedroom and noticed a wall light coming off the wall and while I walked into the bathroom, my feet became soaked. I put a towel on the floor and noticed the towel turn brown. So i assumed pop. The bathroom had a tub and a stand alone shower. The bathroom does have a hair dryer. As I was looking in the bathroom, I noticed only 1 large towel for 3 of us. No bug deal, we will share first night. Next day i talked to the front desk on needing more towels and the wet floor. I came back to the room 6 hours later and the room was cleaned but the floor was still soaked and only 1 large towel. Talked to front desk again and came back to the room 4 hours later. When I came back we had plenty of towels but the floor was still soaked and turned the towels brown. I stay at a lot of Hiltons and this was the worst so far. This place needs to update the rooms and pool area asap.

Final I would like to share my experience . We are in town from New York . We drove over 15-16 hours to get into the area. I initially was looking for large suites to accommodate our family of 5. A newborn and 2 younger kids (6 and7). The 2nd room would be for my parents and sisters. I arrived at hotel and heather was the woman who checked us in. I called the hotel numerous times prior to even leaving home to make sure all would be ok for our arrival . I spoke to someone who described himself as the manager prior. The concern was I booked 2 rooms. I intended for the 2 rooms to be the same . When I went into make the 2nd reservation the room type we wanted was no longer available. The first room I was able to book was non refundable so this put me in a horrible situation . I would have just canceled. I booked the 2nd room . I continued to monitor the Hilton website and Priceline website. I called hotel to ask if any cancellation can we please upgrade room. The front desk woman I spoke to assured me she could help at check in to fix concern. I wasn’t sure of her so I did call back to check again. This time I ask to speak to the manager, I spoke to the manager and was told as long as there was availability he would be able to help us. The day before we was due to arrive at the hotel I noticed the room we needed become available on Hilton app, Priceline and booking.com. I called hotel to inquire I was told no problem. We may have a upgrade fee to pay which was no problem We arrive after a long drive and was greeted by heather at the front desk. She was very unpleasant! Customer service is not her strong suit! I shared with her my numerous calls I made to make sure I would not have any problem Checkin. She would not even try to help I have been to many hotels. Hiltons in particular and I never experienced anything like her. I explained we just finished a long drive , got a flat as soon as we arrived to area , just a long day! She did not care ! She treated me like I was a bother and trying to get over. She told me I didn’t call She told me I didn’t speak to the hotel manager We had 3 night reservations- I asked can cancel the 2 nights left and rebook for correct room that was now available! She said no I asked for any help - any options - she said no. Who did she think she was to put such a dent into something we planned !! She was horrible !! She then checked us in. The room she gave us was horrible. We arrived to the room and was unable to get our kids to bed due to the pull out bed not opening. The one of the 2 beds .She would not help . She told me she called the manager and the manager would not either. I was at front desk . I did not notice her call anyone to try to help. She moved us to a different room ( same 1 bed and pull out room type) , no apologies no empathy no nothing. She didn’t care if I had to put my kids on floor! She was absolutely horrible.I can’t get past her demeanor and the way she looked at me while she offered no support ! Also if you book through Priceline you will be looked upon as less. You will get no respect . Keep In mind I had 2 reservations ( one on my Hilton reward and 1 Priceline with intention of 2 of same room) I cannot believe the treatment me and my family received from HEATHER during check in I spoke with manager next morning! Mr.earl spoke about our previous phone conversation and offered as much support as he could . Mr .Early was understanding , listened and did the best he could. Mr.Earl also shared with me he had not spoke to HEATHER at all during our check in process AS I SUSPECTED SHE LIED TO MY FACE AS IF I WAS INCOMPETENT AND NOT WORTH People may not share experiences with her I couldn’t be the first ! By the time the manager was able to address my concern the next morning The rooms was sold out again This was a trip we planned for , it had many sentiments to it She did nothing to help Please Hilton suites oak brook - offer her some training or maybe a position not in front of customers!!! The situation could have been resolved so simple

The room was generally comfortable, although it showed signs of aging and could probably use a thorough cleaning. The shower door was extremely squeaky, I'm sure you can hear it outside of the room. The WiFi connection left much to be desired, as it was often unreliable or very slow, we ended up using our data plans on our mobile phones. The drapes need replacing or cleaning and the air conditioner compressor is very loud. On a positive note, the front desk staff were exceptional and went out of their way to assist us, especially with the room cards that kept failing. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We were surprised by unexpected parking fees, which would have been helpful to know in advance, you can find it on their site if you dig deep enough. The free parking amentity on TripCase is incorrect and needs to be updated. The hotel's location proved to be convenient for our itinerary, which was a plus. However, when considering the overall experience, it fell somewhat short of our expectations, especially when compared to other hotels we've stayed at in a similar price range. And becomes undesireable if they are charging a higher room rate for some event. Some attention to the WiFi, room maintenance, and transparent pricing could go a long way in justifying the nightly rates charged.

On Sunday, at around 6:30 a.m., September 3, 2023, we were awoken to the fire alarms going off telling everyone to evacuate the building. We were on the 3rd., floor... people wearing shirts that read "Staff" ran pass us towards the elevators but gave us no directions on where we should go. We saw the "exit" sign by a door and we took that to get out. Hundreds of guests were standing around outside for about 1/2 hr., then we were allowed back into the bldg. We had to stand in line for about 20 minutes to catch the elevator back up to our room on the 3rd flr. We no sooner get back to our room and the fire alarms went off again. People were all over the place it was a confusing mess. Our check out was not until noon but we could no longer stay in this hotel with fire alarms going off like this. We went to the desk and the man at the front desk told us we would get a full refund for 1 night stay and he apologized to us that our stay had been ruined but because we had booked the room through Priceline he said he could not give us a credit directly to our credit card that we needed to contact Priceline for they were holding the money and they would refund us. After leaving the hotel we immediately called Priceline they said they need to call the hotel to confirm our story and this is where it all goes bad. Priceline calls the hotel but a person at the desk named Claudia tells Priceline she knows nothing about a fire alarm and had no idea who the man was that told us we would get a refund. When asked to speak to a mgr., they are told to call back the next day. Priceline asked if we had the name of the person at the desk that promised us a refund but we did not get his name we didn't think we needed it. He works at the hotel Hilton we said they would have his name ... he is their employee. I called the Hilton and when I asked to be given the man's name who managed the front desk they hung up the phone. They didn't want to give me his name. When I called back again to speak to a mgr., they transfer me into a blackhole no one picks up the phone. I called back and they just kept transferring my call back into the automated system refusing to answer my calls. Priceline tells me they refuse to give us a refund for they cannot verify the person at the front desk with Hilton Suites. So, even though Hilton knows who staffed their front desk that morning they want us to tell them who it was. Give me a break! What a GAME! They know who was manning the front desk that morning at 6:30 a.m.,on the morning of September 3, 2023 all they have to do is look up their employee schedule to get his name. We should not have to provide his name and social security numbers to back up our story. All they need to do is talk to their employee to verify what he told us ... it is that simple. But they don't want to do that for they don't want to give us back our refund. That's the truth of the matter! The employees at the front desk were awful, the Hilton does not care to give customer service apparently and "repeat business" is not what they are relying on obviously for I'm sure there were many people on that day told just like us they would get a refund to keep everyone calm but once you left the hotel they refused to keep tht promise and refuse to acknowledge there was a fire, pretend not to know who was staffing the front desk on that day, hung up phones on you and refused to answer phones and made it impossible to reach the manager. It is unbelievable the treatment we received . . . I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a company. Just awful! We will never go there again. NEVER!

After trying several area hotels near the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital where I have been working this summer, this one has become my first choice. It is extremely easy to get to, under ten minutes to the hospital, a short distance to the Oak Brook Shopping Center, and immediately adjacent to the Drury Lane Theater. I never heard of the theater before, but it appears to be a very popular destination and frequented by people who drive there with expensive cars. The theater is sandwiched between the Hilton Suites and the Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms are much larger at the Oak Brook Suites and the facility is more elegant than the Garden Inn, but both are good values. During my first stay I was "upgraded" to one of the conference suites, which offers a huge amount of space that I frankly did not need. The staff at the hotel are extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel website says that breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant, but there is no lunch or dinner served. The breakfast is good but it is not free. The appearance of the rooms suggests that this is an older hotel. The rooms seem dark and the room seems very dated. But it is clean and quiet. During my stays I had a plugged drain, two TV's that did not work, and a room safe that the previous resident had left locked. The hotel staff addressed this issues very promptly, and these were the only problems over a five week period. The "digital key" that allows you to go straight to your room if you check in first is nice when it works. But about half the time it didn't work, so be sure to go to the desk and get key cards.
