Outstanding food and very well presented the railway carriage was a great unique experience and all the staff where very friendly. The place looks tied from the outside however you should ignore this and try the experience of eating here I don’t say this lightly when I say a most eat experience not to be missed.

We had a great time celebrating a 40th birthday. Food and service was perfect (as were the portion sizes!) Very welcoming and friendly hosts and all set in an unusual and interesting pub. Using a refurbished railway carriage as a dining area is an inventive idea and adds another level to the experience. If you're looking for somewhere in the area to celebrate, I can't recommend The Old Station Inn highly enough

Excellent food, fantastic quality and super portions! Cannot rate the food too highly, all brilliantly cooked. Service is friendly and welcoming, eclectic surroundings, the carriage is fabulous but anywhere you sit is interesting!

This pub/restaurant is excellent value for money, we dropped in last week and loved it so much we went back for Sunday lunch! All the food we had was delicious and portion sizes were very generous. Will definitely go back again.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Generous portions and so delicious. I had Thai seafood curry which had lots of seafood and fish and amazing curry sauce and vegetables and lemon posset was incredible. Friendly staff and great quirky decor. Totally recommend! We loved it! 😊

My wife, my daughter and I had lunch in their beautifully refurbished railway carriage at the rear of the Pub. They had a special lunchtime "Cost of Living" meal deal which was extensive and brilliant value. The food was perfectly cooked and tasty, with large portions, service excellent and surroundings great. The pub itself is full of quirky items and has many different traditional pub games available to play at the tables. Would really recommend a visit. It is always worth us travelling the 15 miles from where we live for the pleasure of eating here.

Very friendly host at The Old Station Inn. We didn't have a chance to go into the pub or eat there as we were only staying for 1 night en route to Cornwall. The room was very comfortable, situated in a block away from the pub. Did not hear any noise from the pub at all. Would recommend, especially for the price.

Very friendly, quirky pub with excellent food. Particularly recommend the lamb shanks. Large portions so only consider three courses if you're very hungry! Great service from Debbie. We loved the railway carriage restaurant and enjoyed ourselves so much we went back again three days later.

Recommend to eat here by the manager of the B&B we were staying in. So glad we did. From the minute we walked in the landlady was so welcoming. Hubby enjoys his cider and a lovely one was recommended to him prior to being taken to our table in the old railway carriage-this was fantastic and it was clear to see how much work had been put into this. A good choice of dishes was on the menu. Don’t expect your usual “pub grub “ here. Choices were fantastic, cooked by the landlord. I can certainly recommend my belly of pork starter! There is also B&B accommodation here but we were staying a little further on. The bar itself is well worth a visit and full of curiosities. A visit is a must.

Rain stopped play on our way back from Devon on our Motorbikes. We were lucky enough to find a room here at The Old Station Inn. Arrived at 8:10pm soking wet in need of a warm clean room and food. We were not disappointed. Food was delicious. Ate in the carriage. Just was we needed. Thank you. We will definitely be back.
