Spent 2 nights here with family for a family get-together. Sheila was very accommodating, arranged a babysitter, fed the kids before we went out and was generally marvellous! Great breakfast, lovely location with beautiful surrounding countryside. Village pub is good too.Thank you for a stress free stay!

We stayed for just a night as we were in the area visiting family. We were given an excellent welcome, including homemade cake! The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was everything it should be and it set us all up well for the day. My daughter particularly enjoyed sleeping in a 'princess bed' (a four poster). I would recommend...

Stayed here for a couple of nights and it felt like home. The owners are available if you need them but otherwise leave you to enjoy the place. Also provide a nice lounge and you can eat your own food in the dining room if you want.

Nice and clean. Great service. Excellent family ambiance. Certainly worth a visit! They did everything possible make us feel at home and make our stay memorable. Like staying at a pretty little country home.

And what a wonderful location we had. A delightful guest house run by a younger Germaine Greer lookalike and her husband Philip. Very comfortable bed - how often can you say that about any hotel or b&b? - and a virtual power shower. Well, good mains pressure, wonderful nevertheless (Room #1). Great breakfasts served in a long and light dining...

From first impressions, with freshly baked scones and tea on arrival, to the moment we left, we were delighted with Wick House. Wick House is an old building in an even older village, with plenty of character. Parking was provided directly opposite the house. Our room was comfy, with everything we needed, with one modern exception - no Wifi. Oddly...

We used this B and B to commute to a course at nearby Halsway Manor as there were no residential spaces left. We were delighted to be looked after by such friendly and welcoming hosts. Our room had everything we needed and the breakfasts were excellent (LOVELY FRESH FRUIT SALADS) with our dietary requirements fully catered for. Stogumber is a...

What a wonderful find Wick House is! We spent only two days with Sheila and Philip and we're sad to leave. Not only did we rediscover the south west but we met two lovely people. Breakfast and hospitality tray in room were as good if not better than plenty of good hotels we've stayed in. Rooms are homely and a...

Shelia and Philip are such wonderful hosts; Going out of their way to make sure your stay with them exceeds expectations. The village of Stogumber is an absolute delight. The white horse pub provided excellent company and food too. A+++++
