First, I was thrilled with how quiet it was and we were in cabin 6 next to the pool. Very family friendly. Staff is friendly and helpful. Laid back atmosphere. What they provide: small bar soap, dawn, paper towels, typical kitchen ware. Compact stove/oven typical of camping cabins, full size fridge, Mini microwave. Note: there is no dishwasher or garbage... We were a little disappointed with the "cabins" here... The outside of the buildings are wood siding but the inside is drywall and not very "campy" if you will. When we were their the bugs were horrible in the evenings. The paved roads were really nice though.

The arrangement of the cabins offers you the opportunity to mingle with other guests or have a cabin somewhat removed from others. The kitchens were adequately furnished with the basics and numerous grills provided plenty of chances to fire up the charcoal. The rooms were quite comfortable and staff very friendly. There is a real bed in every cabin, but... More

This is the second time that my friends and I have stayed here. This time we brought a couple more people. There were 6 of us that stayed in Cabin 9 and we were incredibly comfortable in this 3-bedroom cabin. This cabin backs right up to a trail head and is very close to both of the ponds. The cabin... What I love is, this is NOT a stacked up modern resort where you rent a condo. These are very nice, clean individual cabins with a front porch, a fire pit and a yard and room to play. Things to do include the pools, hiking trails, par 3 golf, disc golf, fishing, horseshoes and more. We'll be back.

My dad and I have stayed here twice now when going to Shelbyville lake fishing trip. We love coming here and have stayed in cabin 7 both times. We go during the off season, so we feel it is an excellent value. The overall vibe of the place is great. There are some pretty good fish in the ponds if... More

Every summer our extended family (6 adults and 8 children) meet here to have a "camping" weekend. This was our 7th year. We have stayed in both of the large cabins and they are both great. There are many things we like about this property including: 1. The large cabins allow us to all stay under the same roof. We... More

We have been coming here for 4 years. The pool and play ground areas are great. It is rather pricey but maybe because we only stay for the weekends. Take a trip into Shelbyville there are some nice shops to look through.

Whitetail crossing is a fabulous getaway. The program that I facilitate is a community day program for adults with Developmental Disabilities. They fundraise for their trips each year. Last summer (July 2011) 12 of us, including staff stayed at the Cabin Village for 4 nights. We had the largest cabin and everyone slept very comfortable. The fire ring in the... More

I have stayed there on a romantic getaway with my husband (1bdrm w/ jacuzzi tub), went with another couple (2bdrm), and lastly went with our 2 little kids.(1 bdrm w/ pull out sofa) We all had a great time on every trip! The cabins are spacious, VERY clean and you pretty much have... More

“If you call and they don't have a cabin available for the dates you want, call back in January to check again. All summer reservations have to have a deposit in January and that is when some people cancel their cabins.”
