Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

7 hour flight to London and train to Devon next day so wanted a family stay in Reading. Found Pincents Manour and really enjoyed our stay. Had we known we would have planned to stay a little longer.

Got in late, after the restaurant had shut and the chef had left, but the guy behind the bar went and made sandwiches for us, but I guess would have done just about anything, great service.

Family room, "Lord Henry" was huge, and comfortable, lovely ground to walk in next morning to stretch legs before next stage of trip.

Day staff were great organising taxis and delaying checkout so we could see Reading and get our bags before departure.

A very pleasant stay, made better by all the staff.

You need to follow the instructions of your satnav very well to find this place, but once you get here ... it looks lovely.

I checked in quit late, and got room number 10, a small room but i did not expect a ballroom, since i booked a single.

After i refreshed i went for some food in the restaurant - a good choise on the menu and for reasonable prices.

Breakfast starts at 7.00 AM.
Lots of space for parking.

A good choice ... you should try it !

Main restaurant , featured in their webpage, has been closed for 4 years apparently and meals are served in a small bar instead. Shower unit was missing due to maintenance and I killed 12 blow flies in our room during a stay of 2 nights. Room brochure featured a menu NOT available in the bar. We left one day early.

The building is beautiful. The staff were lovely. Everything else about this place was god awful. Dirty, uncomfortable, dated, noisy. Needs a huge amount of money spending on it to bring it anywhere near up to scratch. Actually quite sad.

The cleanliness of the bar and behind the bar (the sink area) put me off choosing to eat in the hotel

My room, the bathroom door could not open fully as the bed was in the way

There was no soap in the bathroom

The coat hangers in the wardbrobe resembled christmas decorations so badly bent and twisted

But the wait at reception and contiually ringing the bell should have alarmed me that this was not my best choice of hotel

For 70 pounds this really is not worth the value

Good luck for any refurbishment, till then, I am sorry but you wont get my custom again

This is a great place for Sunday Lunch, good value and large portions.

3 courses for £18.95 and possibly the best Roast Beef with vegetables that have actually been cooked rather than just shown the cooker.

Great service and will certainly return despite having to navigate through the long queues trying to get in and out of IKEA

Had the 3 course Sunday lunch
And was very good, the brie and cranberry was great.
The meat selection was good but was a shame there wasn't any lamb out on the day we went.there was a good selection of veg which had cauliflower cheese and mixed roast veg.
There was a big selection of desserts and the fudge cake was good and very large could of done with 2 scoops of ice cream though ;)
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Will definitely go back as one of the better caverys around reading.

The hotel looks amazing when you first arrive. But that's as good as it gets. We checked in at 5pm. Had to walk across car park to our room (not a problem as the hotel grounds are lovely). The room was freezing. I would guess about 10c max. Heater took a few ours to warm the room up as only one small heater at the door (nothing in bathroom). There were hairs all over bathroom sink and in toothbrush holder. Bed was not made properly and the hotel is under staffed. There was literally Just one guy taking breaky orders, serving breaky, serving at the bar and checking people out. Won't en staying again.

Friendly staff in the hotel and dining areas.

Decent food options - slightly under sized and odd little single room. Not luxurious but it was comfortable enough in a basic way. Basics included: Tea-Coffee facilities, included breakfast of reasonable standard, en suite toilet and bathing
