Well my wife and I visited here after here about it being voted one on the best... For us we found it too old fashioned and found the staff to be over attentive if not maybe too personal when your trying to have a romantic meal sometimes you just want to be left alone not followed when you go to... Met as I walked in the door by a delightful young lady - it became clear that she and a colleague were running the hotel that evening - they were doing a great job Dinner in the lounge was fine - breakfast starting at 7am is really a bit late but the lady in charge (on her own) served me... More

The title of this review says it all. Lorna and Kim organised a perfect Sunday lunch for us and our 30 guests. The food was exquisite, service from Nathan, Ellie and Megan was excellent and the room with its outlook over the garden just lovely. A big thank you to everyone including the chefs for catering for us all in... More

I have to say that the... More

The rooms and en suites were all attractive, clean and comfortable. The food both at dinner and breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were welcoming and helpful with nothing too much trouble. The scones for cream tea were the best I've had!

Enjoyed afternoon tea here to celebrate aunt and uncle's 80th birthdays. Lovely, discreet and friendly service. Champagne, sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, four types of cake...all beautifully prepared and presented. Would definitely recommend and am sure we will return.
