Martin was very accommodating on his initial response to our long weekend stay request, made supper for us on our late arrival Saturday night, moved their night off to accommodate our Wednesday departure, flexible with our arrival and departure times.

Location 10-15 mins from gondola Les Carroz, Martin picked us up normally from bar next to gondola, so never felt like you were waiting to be picked up, Martin happy to stay and chat with us while finishing drinks.

Chalet is spacious and beautifully finished, with 2 lounges and guest coffee/tea making facilities. We made use of the outdoor hot tub, sauna and robes, making our wives very jealous.

Martin & Sally were great hosts, recording the Rugby for me as the match was on live while we were in transit. Coffee in the mornings before breakfast if I was down early watching the news. Martin was a great host/front of house character, very easy to talk to and make you feel at home. Food was excellent in the mornings and dinner time, good variety and tailored to our dietary requirements, thanks Sally. The scrambled eggs were excellent in the morning, but I did find I needed to be careful and not eat too much before skiing! 

Thanks again for a lovely stay, Dave & Kevin

Our stay at Chalet La Motte was simply spectacular. The Chalet was outstanding and
each of our rooms had been done beautifully- The Balcony Suite had incredible views of the surrounding mountains.

Martin & Sally were excellent hosts- everything we could have possibly wanted during our stay was provided. Sally made delicious meals served daily, which quickly became the highlight of our stay. Martin had superb knowledge of the local area and was always on hand to give us tips on the best places to visit. Martin & Sally were both incredibly accommodating.

Would highly recommend a stay here.

Thank you both for making our trip so lovely, we will definitely be planning a return trip very soon!

We spent a week at Chalet La Motte to enjoy a week of skiing. The chalet itself is superb, the rooms spacious and the finish second to none. We took advantage of the largest bedroom which contained a rolltop bath and fantastic views down the valley. The hosts, Martin and Sally, could not be more accommodating, from our first enquiry to the point we left - nothing was left to chance. Covid was still a thing in the run up to our trip and Martin kept us up-to-date with the latest developments in France. The food was perfect, just what was needed after a long day skiing and the wine flowed to put a real rosy glow on things. Although a few minutes drive to the ski lifts this was never an issue, Martin happy to drop/collect at Les Carroz or Morillon (we preferred Les Carroz for the kids ski school). I’d like to keep Chalet La Moote a hidden gem that we would love to visit again but I’m sure Martin and Sally would like other visitors so I would heartily recommend the chalet to anyone.

We were fortunate enough to choose Sally and Martin's chalet for a week with a group of friends in the Grand Massif.

The chalet had been recently renovated and was gorgeous whilst keeping the character of the original property. The bedrooms were beautiful and clean and the communal areas were stunning and comfortable.

We were fully catered and the food was excellent, way better than previous holidays which have cost more.

Sally and Martin seemed to stop at nothing to ensure all our needs were accommodated, including the use of the ski boot room to safely store our mountain bikes.

The Grand Massif area is beautiful with enough summer lifts open to allow access to the whole area for walking and mountain biking. We visited the local resorts of Les Carroz and Samoen and found them both charming with plenty of choice of good restaurants and bars.

All in all we had a wonderful holiday in a lovely setting with the perfect hosts.

We hope Sally and Martin will have us back next year as there is so much more we want to do in the area and we thank you both again for the lovely time we spent in your home.

I stayed at the chalet with friends for a long weekend, we had the best ski trip!

The chalet was within an hour of the airport, 15 mins to a great ski resort (Grand Massif).

The hosts were a British couple who were so kind and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The food was of restaurant standard. The chalet itself was so beautiful, it had been recently renovated by the host and so much thought and love has went into the chalet to give their visitors every perk of a catered chalet.

We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing Sally and Martin next year!

We had the most incredible few days in Martin and Sally's beautiful chalet. The pictures on the website made us excited to visit, but it is even more beautiful in person. Wonderfully spacious with tasteful decor and personal touches that made it feel very cosy and relaxed throughout the week. Food made by Sally (and scrambled eggs by Martin!) was delicious and plentiful, large hot tub available for use whenever we wanted (with plastic wine glasses!), even a gym for the energetic! Martin was very flexible re drop off and pick up times to the lifts which were about 10 minutes drive away. We also got lucky with the weather with a mix of snow and sunshine so all in all a perfect few days with friends. We would love to return - thank you again x

Our 2 adult families have just spent half term week staying at Chalet La Motte. Without a doubt one of the best chalet experiences we have had. Such a warm and friendly welcome from Martin and Sally who looked after us all week so attentively, amazing cooking and hospitality as well as the daily dropping and picking us up from Les Carroz village and ski lifts. Their home and luxury chalet is so comfortable and spacious with all of the extra facilities you would want including a jacuzzi, sauna and gym. For us the location of the chalet in a quite rural spot about a 10-15 minute drive from the centre of Les Carroz was such a peaceful situation to return to . We always looked forward to relaxing in the chalet after a long day of skiing in the Flaine and Grand Massif area.

Sally and Martin have got everything right - they are the most fabulous hosts. It’s a stunning location and yet the chalet manages to compete - it is beautifully decorated with the most amazing facilities (kids loved the hot-tub!) and every detail has been thought through from the coffee, boot room, toiletries and slippers (to name a few). I would never tire of the view from the bath in the Balcony Suite. The food was lovely too, and that is saying something as we had four fussy eaters in our party (a coeliac, vegetarian, pescatarian and a 10 year old!). We went in the spring/summer but hope to go back for skiing in the winter. Enjoyed it so much we changed our Euro Tunnel booking to stay an extra day. Just wonderful!

I can honestly say that Chalet La Motte was one of the best chalets experiences I've had. The hosts Martin and Sally are amazing nothing was too much trouble for them. The food the accommodation are second to none. Martin made getting to the slopes so easy with flexible pick up times dropping us off and picking us up right outside the lifts. We used the heated lockers at the base of the La Carroz lifts, which Martin had organised. This made it even easier for us at the end of the days skiing. I highly recommend this chalet

Perfect hosts and wonderful location in this renovated farm chalet in the Grand Massif. Our room overlooked the valley below and was peaceful and quiet with old wooden beams and flooring. Martin & Sally made our summer trip very special with lots of local walks and things to do, especially mountain biking.
