Heartland has big sites compared to other/local private campgrounds. We were used to camping at state parks because the sites are big and quite hours are enforced. With a new travel trailer this summer, we now are seeking full hook-up, which most state parks in Indiana do not offer. The indoor pool was big! The beach was great: not too...

THIS PLACE HAS REALLY GONE DOWNHILL THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS BUT IT IS CHEAP COMPERED TO OTHER PARKS...The business is being sold so we should be seeing lots of improvements and upgrades. The town does not have a waterpark so maybe we will see one here??

First impression - dumpy, trashy, run down. It starts in the office at check in where rude staff will greet you with,"Whaddaya want?" when you walk in. I made reservations over the phone so they were expecting us. Our full hookup pull thru site had overgrown grass and weeds around the utilities that we had to cut down before we...

I have stayed here for years for the Indianapolis 500. It never gets any better, only worse. If you didn't bring a water filter for rusty iron water, you had best buy one. We buy a new filter every year just for this campground. Why do we stay here? Everything said about the front office is true ... customer service...

We were here for a weekend and had a very nice visit. It was clean and manicured. The price is affordable just compare it to other places and you will see, the people were friendly at the campground and so was the staff, any questions they were there to help. The store has fair prices and Schwan's Ice Cream which...

LONG TERM TRAILER PARK NOT RESORT. We were exhausted and needed a one night stay. I made the mistake of not checking reviews first! The "resort" lost all water use within a couple hours of us arriving. The shower stalls at the pool had foamy water that had pooled up from the base of the toilets all the way to...

I grew up on a campground and I understand during certain times of the year it may not be up to par. Water/electric site: Electric was fine but the water spigot was damaged and I couldn't get the hose completely attached so you could leave it on so had to fill tank on trailer also it had a pin hole...

The place is durty and too far from everything; but the worst experience we had was with the owner he was very rude and won't care about his costumers if he doesn't want people at his place why to keep it open?. I won't recommend this place at all!!!

This place is nasty! We called ahead to see if there was a vacancy. We were abruptly told there was lots of room. We said we'd be there before dark. The man basically hung up then. Well .. wouldn't it have been nice for him to have told us that there is a huge detour to find them? Also, wouldn't...

I camped at Heartland years ago, and they had a clean pool, decent beach with a clubhouse, putt putt, entertainment, etc. Now it's all gone down the drain. It's clear management does not care what becomes of this place. They are openly rude to all guests-I asked about getting milk at the camp store and they all but shooed me...
