This place feels so relaxed and comfy. We visit about 3 times a year and LOVE staying here. It's great for just the hubby and I or when we take the kids. We like getting a first floor balcony room overlooking the pond. Afternoons the serve free coffee and cookies in the lobby, yay!!! It's nice to walk around the...

I was treating my daughter and two grandchildren ages 10 & 6 (girl and boy) to an overnight "winter break". I had seen that the Essenhaus had a pool, hot tub and game room. A short walk from the Inn is a playground, some small shops and of course the famous Essenhaus Restaurant. The kids were more than thrilled and...

A very well managed and equipped hotel. The décor had a great deal of attention applied to it. The whole property was clean and excellent service was provided. A pool/hot tub/kiddie pool area is on the property as well as a well equipped game room and fitness center. The beds seemed comfortable to me, but a bit overly firm for...

We were in town for 2 nights with 7 other families. Our rooms were beautiful! We loved the atrium and the pool area. With such a large group it was wonderful to have such comfortable common areas in the hotel. The resturant was very busy, but the food and prices were great!

My husband and I were on our annual Dec. anniversary getaway. We wanted peace and quiet and Essenhaus Inn fit the bill nicely. We also wanted to do some non-mall/non-chain store shopping and again Essenhaus fit the bill. The room and whole facility is immaculate and well set up. The mattress on the bed was so good we stripped the...

We stayed at the Essenhaus Inn for one night prior to attending a family funeral in Middlebury. Our room was spacious, clean, and decorated in a rather charming old-world style. I appreciated the many hooks in the bathroom, and having the extra area with a sink (closet area.) The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The pool is of a decent size...

Stayed here for a Bachelorette weekend and the grounds are immaculate and the rooms are nice, cozy, and clean. Would stay here again whenever I want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's peaceful and quiet here.

The food at Essenhaus is so good! It's all homemade. I would recommend ordering off the menu and not the buffet. The bakery is amazing! So many different choices. Loved the donuts! And also the Amish noodles
