Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The floors of the room were not cleaned for a week and the only tiny trash can of the room was not emptied for three days in a row and for us the biggest issue was that prescription drugs disappeared from the nightstand in the middle of the trip.

The staff are not helpful, the rooms are dirty. Unfortunately it is the choice for locals that want to party all night and so it is the worst choice for families and should only be booked if you can get hostel prices

Stayed for two nights in an executive room. Large bed, but only one quite small blanket. For some reason they continued leaving only one large towel, even though we were two people staying there. New towel was dirty as well. A plus was a gym, but it basically was one machine. Would choose some place else next time

Ιt could be a very nice hotel but its not clean. I would rate it realistically as a 3 star and not a 4 star hotel. it has big and confortable beds. The staff is not very polite kai generally i think the problem is lack of experience or wrond management from the chief. Food that is servrd is mediocre.

To start with the hotel is very difficult to find if you are arriving by car. There is no private parking only roadside parking at 4€ per day (refundable) but because the hotel is in an residential area there are very few spaces availible. Access to the hotel is hard work as well, since the entrance is located one floor up from the road (stairs only!!) Reception staff were OK although not very professionel- there was no information about Tivat (maps etc) and it took two members of staff to print off a black & white map of the city!! The room we had was located on the 4th floor was odd. To be honest, it was huge but badly planned, the bathroom was in two parts both very small- one part held the WC, Bidet and sink whilst the other the shower. All the toiletries (shower gel etc) were located in the first part of the bathroom (WC etc) because there was no room to move in the shower room!!. Before moving on, bad smell of drains in the shower room and cooked food in the WC... not nice. Rooms were very noisy, badly sound-proofed both inside and out. The shutters were broken as well. The hotel provides Tea & Coffee making facilities which sounds good, except that the kettle was located on top of the mini-bar with no plug nearby! The two mugs provided were still dirty from the last occupants. Breakfast was horrible, Bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages were all COLD, Tea, Coffee and Chocolate were basiclly brown water. 4***** ? Should be 2** at best.

We had a very pleasant stay of 3 nights in this lovely hotel. Foremost, the staff was extremely kind and friendly, did everything in their reach to make us feel at home! The location cannot be beat, 70m to the sea, Porto Montenegro, extremely close to market and supermarket. You can sit outside to have a drink, also in the evening and watch the children play and people go by on the adjacent square. The room we got was extremely big, originally ment to be an apartment, I guess, with to huge double beds and even a terras. Matras was comfy and room was rather clean. Good wifi in the rooms! Breakfast was good with warm and cold dishes to choose from. The staff kept refilling the buffet, very attentive. They worked very hard so after seeing them in the morning, they were there in the evening as well still running around, keeping the tables tidy refilling the buffet etc. All in all this hotel is a home away from home and a perfect spot to discover the Kotor bay by boat, car and the rest of Montengro!

Multiple compliants from my tour group about toilets and air-con not functioning. The lift even hang twice in a day. Do check the bed as I found a couple of ants. The location is decent; near to supermarket, restaurants and beach.

We stayed in the family room at top floor. The room itself is huge with two big beds, spacious bathroom with separate toilet, balcony. The restaurant downstairs offers good menu and there was menu in room for guests to order. Price is no more than you'd pay in the restaurant. Buffet breakfast was average and it was included in the price of €154. We found that the hotels in town are expensive but eating out is much cheaper. Quite a different experience compared to other European cities where affordable accommodation are plenty but eating out is pricey.

I am very satisfied with my one-night stay in hotel Magnolia (for my business trip). First, they were very kind with my last-minute booking by telephone (it was not easy to find their tel. number, though). I booked a 3-bed bedroom for my 3-member family, and it turned out to be almost a two-room apartment with a nice view and an enormous bathroom. Everything was clean and tidy, the beds were quite comfortable, and I appreciate the hotel's efforts to involve their guests in their pledge to save water and, hence, the nearby shallow and ecologically fragile Tivat Bay (by not having to change the sheets everyday). The hotel is centrally located, close to the beaches (not the 1st class beaches, though), restaurants and shops, and the Tivat airport is far enough to avoid the noise yet close enough to get there in ca. 15 min of driving in a cab. The park areas nearby are nicely arranged, with various Mediterranean trees and plants, including lots of lavender, which I like, so if one has any time for walking around, the surroundings are pleasant. The water in the hotel was a nice surprise - not just fresh, but also very nice for drinking and bathing, which is a rarity (and a very scarce resource) in the Kotor Bays. The team at the reception was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a mix of continental and local-Montenegrian foods, which was OK but not the best and the coffee was an exception from everything else: it just was not good at all. The wi-fi was not the best, but the TV was fine. For my and my family's needs all was very good and quite pleasant. We had a late evening flight back, but the reception kept our luggage safe until we picked it up and left for the airport. Perfecting some details with breakfast, decoration and wi-fi would render this hotel a great place.

At first glance this hotel offers everything: good location, good wifi, friendly service, spacious rooms with a balcony and separate bedroom. But it’s in the small things that you’ll find this hotel has room for improvement. I found the bed mattress exceptionally hard and uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on the ground. They claim an airport shuttle service but it’s non existent. They provide tea and coffee in the room but no teaspoons. There was one bedside lamp but no lightbulb. While none of this issues are big if addressed it would improve the ratings of this hotel
