We stayed 2 nights at the Steve Alford Inn...The clerk was very friendly when we arrived...quick check in...room a little small, but nice and clean...no frills, just a nice clean place rest on comfy beds...It would be nice if they had refrigerators in the rooms though.

We now stay here several times a year for family get-togethers. The staff is always wonderfully helpful and friendly. So, I was excited to hear they were renovating the rooms, as the hotel is a wee bit out of date, but always found it clean! Tonight we checked in and are in one of the renovated rooms. Yes, it’s newly painted - beige - with a busy, though kind of neutral triangle/geometric carpet,and overly-busy scribbled squares designed bedspreads in chocolate brown and icy blues. Possibly they needed a different interior designer. Sadly - the awkward room arrangements are still in place: >a too small table is centered between the two beds and not close enough to either, and has no outlets for extra electronics >The sink counter outside the bathroom with the door to the hall in-between >a desk is across from the end of the first bed, so if you sit in its chair, you’re in the walk space >a tv that faces the beds (ok) >but the comfy chair is in the corner BESIDE the TV ... not very useful. And lastly - there are outlets on the opposite side of the bed (yay) but the plugs want to fall out - and there is NO table to place anything on! Something is wrong with this re-Do!
