This is by far the most amazing place in Atins. Very nice place with a very nice natural pool, a super tasty restaurant and staff that make you very happy! The rooms do not have an AC but there is plenty of breeze and fans are at your disposal. The atmosphere is really good and fits Atins really well. Do not hesitate and spend a little more on an amazing stay!

Very poor service. Mosquitoes infested. Pretend to be an ecolodge to justify total absence of service. Are very fortunate to have a good restaurant operated in the hotel but it is obviously not ran by them . concept could be nice but so poorly executed that it ends up being disappointing

Nice and well maintained bungalows with good location in Atins but guest relations from staff and owner are just not at the same level. We were there for two nights, Sunday and Monday. The restaurant was completely closed on Monday (nobody told us upfront), with not a possibility to order a bottle of water or a soft drink. The pousada is undergoing construction works so ongoing noise throughout the day. Not a single approach from owner or manager to inquire if everything is going well of if we needed something.

The Convento Arcadia is a very well maintained guesthouse in Atins. Nice and clean rooms and a nice area. Very helpful staff. The owner helped me book a tour in the National Park and the return transfer to Barreirinhas. I was also able to use the laundry service. Just a few steps to the beach. There are also several restaurants nearby.

Just to get to Lencois Maranhensis requires an adventurous spirit as it requires, for most people, multiple modes of transport just to get there: plane, boat, four-wheel drive, and finally an ATV. Arcadia Convento provides a new, clean, efficiently run Pousada for those who have finally made it to Atins! We stayed there for three nights in July, 2018; our family stayed in two of their chalets. These chalets are spacious and comfortable. However, at the time of our visit, there was no hot water yet, although in the warm climate near the Equator that was not too much of a hardship. The beds have mosquito nets but we did not see a lot of mosquitoes, although our 23-month grand-daughter did get bug bites, even though she was inside a net. So one has to be extra vigilant against the bugs, especially in the early evening. The breakfasts were quite delicious with eggs, cooked to order as well as "tapioca" rolls with cheese and ham. Access to beach is easy from the Pousada and nearby eating places are easy to get to (Atins is very small). The owner is quite helpful in answering to guests' needs. Online access is a problem for outsiders in Atins but you probably would not go there if you did not want to "get away from it all". For a visit to an exciting but very remote location, Convento Arcadia is a good "home away from home".…

We just left Convento Arcádia and already miss it. We were a family with two teenager. Comfortable, charming and nice cottage, close to the beach, simple but nice and delicious breakfast. Mari and Drica had always a smile while cooking eggs and "tapioca" for us for breakfast and Valério, the manager, was always around and was also very helpful. Friendly staff. We will go back!

Peaceful and awesome Pousada in the heart of Atins. We stayed in their beautiful new chalets and enjoyed our stay a lot. Breakfast are very good and the staff is awesome. Carmen manages the place really well and helped us for everything. From booking the trip to come from Sao Luis to visit the National Park. We will be back for sure!

I've stayed with my friends in Convento arcadia for 6 nights and we loved it. Rooms are very stylish, cleaned every day, you can hang in your hammock in front of the room and enjoy silence. :) It's totally relaxing! Carmen's very nice host, she's been very friendly, gave us tips, what to do when not kiting. :) Kite beach is just 100m away from the pousada, we found 2 corners just perfect for kite equipment. Breakfasts were really delicious, Carmen prepared us fresh basil and cashew nuts paste and allow us to take spices and vegetables from her garden. I can give you only warm recommendation, we will be back next year for sure!

Carmen is a very welcoming host with brilliant English language due to her European travels/stays, lots of interesting issues to discuss with her. Accomodation for a family with two separate rooms was clean, ceiling fan (hardly needed as there was always a breeze in Atins), good beds, hammocks outside, spacious garden, good breakfast available. Renovated building with charm, just 100m from beach, quiet at night, no insects. Good value for money.
