The beds were ever so comfy. The reclining chairs were very comfy indeed. The Kitchen chairs felt nice. The shower temperature was good as well. The garden had great space and attracted all animals and we could see the pretty hills. The whole house was a perfect temperature. The garden opens to a gorgeous view and has some nice trees. The court yard had enough space for at least 7 vehicles. The lights worked perfectly. The curtains were so pretty and eye catching. The decorations were very nice. By Katie age 9 We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ben Ever Cottage. It was a perfect place to stay to visit the local area and for walking in the Ochil Hills. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable (as described by our daughter Katie!) and had beautiful views of the hills, the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle. Gemma was very friendly and responded quickly when we contacted her. I would recommend these cottages to anyone visiting the area. We are looking forward to staying again. Sam, Dan and Katie…
We stayed in Boll Cottage. It was spacious and spotlessly clean, with lots of light and a super garden area. We were very warmly welcomed by the new owners who could not have been more helpful. A delightful place to stay.
My family stayed at the cottages over Christmas and we had an excellent stay. The cottages were spotless and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The views from the cottages are stunning and there’s plenty places to go for walks nearby. Thank you Maria!
Boll Cottage, the star of Boll Holiday Cottages in Alva, is a super accommodation, comfortable, well equipped and pleasantly furnished. Having two en suite bedrooms was a luxury! The cottages are strategically located with many options in all directions from castles to abbeys to walks or climbs to viewpoints, and is in easy driving distance to, for example, Loch Lomond, Stirling or St. Andrews. For us the icing on the cake came in the person of Maria Machin, warm, friendly, helpful, sympathetic and well informed.
We stayed in the 4 person Ben Ever cottage in November 2018 with 2 small dogs, The cottage had everything we needed, it was decorated to a high standard, and very comfortable, the dogs loved the gardens and pond, and it is situated near many good walks including Glen Alva. Alva town is a short walk away and has every thing you need banks, supermarket, pubs and restaurants. The cottage it self is on one level, and very warm (a good thing in November when in Scotland) bed comfortable; plenty of storage, and the bathroom has a shower cubicle with hot running water. Parking right out side of the door, Over all would recommend these cottages to any one, they are situated near Stirling castle & the Wallis monument, which can be seen from the gardens in the distance. A beautiful part of our country and we are returning in 2019 …
