Stayed here with 7 month old grandchild while daughter interviewed at UIHC. Hotel is nice. Very modern. Concrete floors with throw rugs. Good shower water pressure. Clean. Employees very friendly. Kitchenette nice only wish they had glasses and silverware in the rooms.

Typically I like boutique hotels because the service is more personal and in check. I didn't find this at Vetro when there recently for five nights on business. Every opportunity for service was average at best. The room was fine, nothing special. Comfy bed. Concrete floors aren't my favorite. I think I'll try the Sheraton next door next time I'm...

The bed was comfortable but he aware that the floor is polished concrete with area rugs. It was rather cold to walk when barefoot in the room. There is a nice kitchenette and a few dishes, but no silverware, no cookware, no knives. We bought some fruit in the market on the first floor, and then had nothing to cut...

Nice rooms and generally nice staff, but they turned cold and unhelpful at points. In particular, we begged for a late check-out (wife and I have two little kids and NEVER get to sleep late apart from this vacation) and they refused (or offered 30 mins) without bothering to pause to check if the room was booked, when they expected...

Located in the heart of the downtown area, this is an upscale, urban hotel. We had a week long stay while I went into the local university hospital for surgery. (Special rate for patients) Could have stayed at one of the many chain hotels in the area, but we found this gem, which offers a few balcony rooms, which allows...

I traveled to Iowa City for a wedding recently and stayed at the Hotel Vetro. Before I even arrived, employee Makaylee McDowell went out of her way to help me with some needs that I had regarding room amenities. She put in more effort than most hotel employees would, going above and beyond what I expected, and I really appreciated...

I love this hotel! It is very trendy. I love the industrial look of the hallways. The rooms are modern with a kitchenette. The bathroom has a nice size shower and hug tub. The door is a frosted glass panel tot he bathroom. There is no lock, be prepared. My daughter loved the lighted mirror in the bath. It's another...

The beds are good, if lumpily made, and the location is outstanding. The towels are thick and fluffy. Other than that … Where to begin with this place? Let’s start with the trek from the parking area to the rooms. From the parking structure, you and your bags have to go down one elevator; around an four-foot-high wall through a...
