Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Superb !! From the welcome, the (included) cream tea to the immaculate bedroom. The breakfast was excellent with a large choice and proper press coffee! The rooms are very well finished and very clean and you even get cake in your room every day!! A family run B&B who make you feel like one of the family, the country setting is very restful. We have been twice and will be returning,

I can not imagine a better BnB than BBManor. Wendy and Mark have created a warm beautiful relaxing environment inside and out, with helpful suggestions of activities should you need them, imagine being greeted with tea and scones straight from the oven on your arrival, and special treats appearing after a busy day? Breakfast were toothsome and variety of choices extensive and we didn’t want to ever leave. Thank you and I hope like many of your other guests, to be able to return one day.

We and two friends (+ their dog) have just returned from a relaxing 4 night stay at this beautiful manor house located in a tiny hamlet not far from Totnes. On arrival we were treated to a Devon Cream Tea and each day we returned to find delicious home baked cakes in our room! My husband and I were in the 'Brooking' room which came complete with an extremely comfortable four-poster bed - we slept like tops! There was a generous choice of breakfasts each morning and everything was made using fresh local produce. Liz's eggs from her own hens were particulary tasty. Our hosts Liz & Mark were friendly and helpful and suggested interesting places to visit and pubs/restuarants for supper. We would love to have stayed longer and hope to return for another stay one day.

Our stay here has been amazing. The house, the views, the location - all lovely. The breakfast every morning was incredible (you get a great choice) and the hosts were so helpful. We stayed for a wedding and they sorted out our taxis for us. Our room was incredibly comfy and we had homemade cake each day in our room. A short drive to to Totnes town which is very nice…we’ll definitely be staying again. Thank you so much for having us!

We have stayed several times at this fabulous comfortable guest house and always receive a warm welcome from Liz and Mark. This visit was a trip to celebrate two special birthdays. The suite was cosy and warm when we arrived and Liz had thoughtfully left flowers, cards and cake for us. The suite is always spotless with plenty of extra touches. We always sleep well in the sumptuous bed. Breakfast is always a delight and we never leave the table hungry, always plenty of choice. The weekend sped by too quickly and we are already missing the fantastic hospitality provided by Liz and Mark.

Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Devon for a family wedding. Liz and Mark are fantastic hosts. We were met with a lovely cream tea on arrival and fresh cakes every day in the room. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The choice and quality of breakfast was superb. A beautiful garden to enjoy the fantastic weather we had. There was absolutely nothing to fault.

A friend recommended this B&B to us and it really didn't disappoint. The hosts, Liz and Mark, welcomed us with delicious freshly baked scones and a pot of tea which were much appreciated after our journey. We were shown to our rooms and a friend and I shared The Garden Suite, which has its own entrance, as well as being accessible from within the B&B. It had its own little kitchen which was equipped with everything you could possibly need. There was a dining area and a comfortable seating area with TV. The bedroom sleeps 2, either as a double or 2 singles. The beds were comfortable and there was even a radio we could use. Plenty of storage space too. Toiletries were supplied in the bathroom and the shower was ace! I have a pet hate of weak, lukewarm showers - this one was perfect. Everything was spotlessly clean. The grounds were well kept and ideal for relaxing or taking a stroll round. There's a pool for when the weather is warm, a pond and best of all....alpacas and chickens. The views are gorgeous. The Devon Breakfast was everything it should be, and more! There was plenty of choice and it certainly set me up for the day! On returning to our room in the late afternoon, we found freshly baked cake or biscuits waiting for us. This was such a treat! It's a great place to stay and Liz & Mark are very knowledgeable about the area and will always recommend places to visit or restaurants to eat at. They really are the perfect hosts. Friendly, welcoming, interesting, helpful....and what's more they come with a fabulous sidekick, Zennor their gorgeous dog who welcomes everyone. I cannot fault our stay at Bulleigh Barton Manor and would love to go back again. Thank you to you all.

Tucked away in the middle of the countryside, Bulleigh Barton Manor is an oasis of calm. We were welcomed by Liz and Mark with a Devon cream tea which included probably the best scones I’ve ever eaten. The room (Garden Suite) comprised a little kitchen with everything you would need, a comfortable seating area, bathroom and gorgeous bedroom. Everything was clean and comfy and you have no choice but to relax. The double glazing meant there was no disturbance from the dawn chorus either! In the beautiful gardens there are chickens and alpacas and the friendliest dog will greet you into the house. If the weather had been warmer I would have loved a swim in the pool, tucked away in another part of the garden. The breakfast menu caters to all tastes and appetites: I had a Devon breakfast each day because I just couldn’t resist it. It was a delight to come back to the room each afternoon to find homemade biscuits or cake waiting for us. The house is perfectly situated for trips out to the coast or Dartmoor. We ate dinner in some gorgeous local and fairly local pubs and Liz and Mark will be happy to make recommendations. We had a lovely long weekend there and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I just can’t wait to go back again!
