Needed some time away, spent the weekend at The Rose of the Lake! Had an awesome time! Best part of the trip other than spending time with my best buds was the wonderful breakfast we were served both Saturday & Sunday morning, we enjoyed breakfast so much on Saturday we cancelled our Sunday lunch reservations at Pattie's. The hospitality of...

Needed a little get away and this B & B fit the bill. In a quiet county setting, near marinas if you like boating and a very short drive to get to Land Between The Lakes recreational area in KY. We stayed during August so we were able to enjoy the refreshing salt water pool. Plenty of places to sit...

We were quite pleased when we arrived at this B&B for our two day stay. The home, pool & gardens are all very beautiful. The staff was very welcoming, very friendly & very helpful. The breakfast was extremely good with many delicious choices, especially the Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns. But, the housekeeping left a lot to be desired. No damp...

We went here to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. The entire property is a gardeners paradise! The main level includes full perimeter balcony, very clean (but cool in early May) swimming pool and a very nice residential Hot Tub, which was actually hot!! They told us no skinny dipping until after midnight. There was lots of outdoor furniture to use...

My Mom and I stayed here in the Starlight Room. I've been to a number of B&B's and this far exceeded my expectations. From Ms. Patsy, Mr. James and little Maggie Mae. The food was excellent, scenery gorgeous and we both felt very at ease upon arrival. The home is gorgeous, so many nooks to relax. From the 3rd floor...

After reading all the great reviews, we decided to give the Rose of the Lake a try, while visiting family in the area last Fall. When we arrived, we were not greeted by the owner like some of the other guests, because he doesn't live there. I found this odd because all the the B&B's we've visited, the owners always...

Surrounded by nature's evening sounds and the woods that surround the B & B the world melts away and you are truly in the moment. With the main house containing 5 bedrooms with private baths and the pool cottage having 2 bedrooms as well as kitchen, laundry and living area, the B & B has accommodations for groups of 1 to groups of 25 with all variations easily taken care of.Full and varied homemade breakfasts from our carefully selected recipes are served every morning for guests. They seem to be one of the highlights of everyone's stay. The lakes have thousands of miles of shoreline and over 250,000 surface acres of water and LBL encompasses 170,000 acres of undeveloped recreational land. We like to think that we're at the front door of Central Park for the country. Grand Rivers has a sailboat resort/marina on Kentucky Lake (Lighthouse Landing) and a huge yachting marina/resort on Lake Barkley (Green Turtle Bay) all on a peninsula about 1 mile wide and 2 miles long. Our 350 residents welcome you. We want you to consider The Rose of the Lake your vacation getaway home much more than a place to rent lodging. “We had the gentle persuasion room since we needed two queen beds. The room is close to kitchen so if the smell of cooking bothers you in the early morning after 7:00AM then this is not a good choice. The beds were very comfortable. I wish the bath tub was roomier, it was slightly on the narrower side. The view from the front porch is beautiful and I have shared a picture here.”
