I stayed here with my daughter and we were gobsmacked by the beauty. The room was huge, new, posh, airy, light filled and we could have sat on the porch all day enjoying the view but we had things to do and rhinos to see. The staff was superb, always eager to help, thoughtful and knowledgeable. Walking home by flashlight,...

Don't come here expecting luxury. We didn't, so I wasn't surprised to see several bugs all over the room and several lizards hiding around as well. However, there was VERY little light to find our way back to the room, though the staff did leave out some lanterns for us. Also, the food options for dinner and breakfast were very...

Amuka Safari Lodge is a slice of paradise in the heart of Uganda. The highlights of the trip were the guided walk to see the rhinos and the nighttime walk through the sanctuary. The rangers are dedicated to the animals and are very knowledgeable. The evening was topped off in the lodge for some drinks with Guy, the GM of...

Amuka Lodge is in a nature setting. It is clean, the staff is friendly and eager to please, and the meals are delicious. Plus you get to track the rhinos at Ziwa. A wonderful location to spend a few days.

Nice place, close to the rhinoz. nice staff and they place had sweets rabbits - nicce for children. We took to night there bacause of the pool, but there was no sunbeds or chairs to sit or lie on. And the pool had so many bees since the staff was feeding them at the pool, I liked the idea of...

Thank you very much for your review. Regarding the bees. December is in the heart of our dry season and as a result the natural water supply is very limited leading the bees to our pool to collect their water. The reason we put out trays with sugar water is to try encourage the bees to move away from the...

Okay, we didn't get to spend the night here, but we had a sumptuous lunch after going on a rhino trekking at the ZIWA Rhino Sanctuary. They have a nice swimming pool that looked so inviting after all that trek and I guess the only thing that stopped us from diving in was the fact that we were on the...

Amuka is the only lodge on the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, just a few minutes drive from the main sanctuary head offices. Kept in good shape does the lodge convince with its facilities, a pool - most welcome to cool down after a hot afternoon out tracking rhinos - and a bar / restaurant which also serves as a lounge. The...

Worth it for the rhino trek. Staff very accommodating. "Top-class accommodation" is a bit of a stretch. The food is good. The trek is excellent, we were able to get very close to the rhinos. The beds are very hard. The mosquito nets hang from the centre and drape around the bed, however ours was very hard to attach as...

I was on a birding trip to Murchison Falls in Jan 2017 and saw the signs for the Ziwa Rhino Santurary on the way. On the return to EBB, I spent an evening at the Amuka Safari lodge (which wasn't listed in the Brandt guide). Absolutely wonderful! We arrived in the evening and few minutes later, we joined the group...
