The comfortable large rooms are facing the beautiful garden or the ocean. The beds have good mattresses , white linen and nice towels. The lighting of the rooms is good for reading.
Fish, meat and vegetables are fresh. The chocolate cake is excellent. Everything is homemade, tasting well.
Dive equipment likewise the dive instructor are right there.
Two pools are available for the swimmers and the children of any age.
Thank you friendly staff, we’ll come again! It was a good choice!

Stayed solo in Nabulao Beach Resort from September 30 to October 2. and I was their only guest at that time.

The greatest feature of this resort is its very accommodating staff. I could not emphasize enough how accommodating they were. But I can say this: among all the resorts I have stayed in, Nabulao probably has the best staff. I got more than what I had asked for.

The food is scrumptious, yet I have to agree with the other reviews: it is ridiculously (well, maybe not that ridiculous) overpriced. For instance, their breakfast would cost you P200+ on average (but the breakfast is free if you are a guest), but when I ate breakfast in a hotel somewhere in Sipalay, I only spent less than P100. Too bad, there are no other diners nearby, so most likely you're stuck eating your meals here.

The rooms are very spacious, which is surprising considering how inexpensive they were. Bathroom amenities are provided (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, towels, towelettes...).They have TV with cable, a ceiling fan, air conditioner, a very huge closet, and very comfy beds! Rooms can be cleaned upon request.

Now for the cons:

- There is nothing to do here. When I arrived there, the only activities they offer are jetski riding (which I did not avail because it was very expensive - P2,500 for 30 minutes??) and boat tour/snorkeling (P1,500 for the boat - can fit 10 persons, I think it was P30 for the snorkeling gear). The boat tour stops were also very limited and you cannot be dropped off at any stop. The snorkeling view was awesome though; reminded me of my trip in El Nido last year.

- The beach was f i l t h y. Upon arriving at the resort, the first thing I checked out was their beach, and damn it was dirty! The water was brown and there were plenty of garbage lying around (mainly coconut husks). The resort is also located in the middle of a fishing village, so expect sharing the beach with some locals.

- As mentioned above, the resort has some neighbors, so expect some noise. When I stayed there, one of the nearby houses kept blasting party music all day and all night! Seriously, the music did not stop during my stay there! I did not have trouble sleeping though because the beds were verrry comfy.

In sum, Nabulao is a great resort, but the location is not so great. One of the people I've met in Sipalay attested to this when he said "Hinobaan? Anong magagagwa mo sa Hinobaan? Wala ka namang magagawa dun!" (Hinobaan? What can you do in Hinobaan? There is nothing to do there!). Oh well, I am entirely at fault for not doing enough research about this place. I should've stayed in Sipalay... I wanted to give this resort an excellent rating, but the cons outweigh the pros.

We went with family and friends and we all had a fantastic time, it was like being in paradise! The rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds and each room has its own a/c and bathroom. The gardens and pool area are beautiful. Both the pool and beach were a huge success with everyone and the kids had a great time playing on the beach. The food is excellent and the service and staff are fabulous.
We did all the activities that Nabulao Beach Resort offers, jet skiing, snorkeling, boat trips around the bay and relaxing massages with views to the sea! We also went for long walks along the beach to see the fishermen fishing in their traditional boats and the sunsets at Nabulao Beach Resort are incredible!

Been here last Monday & this is by far our worst vacation! To avoid any hassle, Night before our trip we booked & paid room (Agoda) and after 5hour drive, the staff told us that we cant pay extra bed for 2 for our friends (we wanted to stay in one room), they suggested to have our friends stay in their backpackers lounge which is situated outside their resort. Then told us that outside food/drinks is strictly prohibited. Yup! The bad news keeps on piling up! So we asked to speak to their manager (Gigette). "No sir we don't allow this and that.." (On repeat) is what she can say to my husband. Not a single "sorry" considering that we are GUESTS and we came from a long drive, they said our room is ready but the linens are yet to be replaced & the lights are busted. Yes you are just following your rules and we understand but pls state your rules online so that guests may know. Come to think of it the resort isn't even fully booked that day you only had 2 guests!

We looked up other rooms online and saw that they have room for 6 for 5k something. So i talked to the FO and asked about it if we can upgrade our room to that, the staff said yes we can and we just need to pay for the excess rate of the room. (They should've offered this room in the first place). So we tried to relax and forget about the incident. We had dinner outside the resort with the city's officials (vice mayor, head of tourism and councilor) we talked about our stay in their city then after dinner they talked to the manager.

Come next day we asked for our remaining balance and to our surprise we paid 2.5k thru Agoda for our previous room yet they only acknowledge 2.2k since Agoda only paid them 2.2k and Agoda automatically gets their commission from the resort. Its not really our problem whats their agreement with Agoda because we paid for that amount it should be the same amount! If we haven't booked thru Agoda we might as well not seen/stayed in their resort. And if thats the case they should've informed me before we transferred room.

We travel a lot and we have also stayed in one of the resort in Sipalay we also booked thru Agoda and we had minor complications yet they managed to upgrade and treat us professionally. we only paid for the extra, they didn't let us pay for Agoda's commission.

Lack of training and lack of respect. Maybe not all but mostly the newly hired. Staff and manager said they are newly hired. We even asked to talk to the owner or who's in charge in the resort aside from the manager yet they told us that the owners are not around. We are not dumb we can see the owners are just there! The manager even reports to them. Why not talk to your guests and have it settled in the first place?

We will definitely not coming back to this place nor suggest it to our family and friends.

Response from nabulaobeachresort, General Manager at Nabulao Beach and Dive Resort
Responded 9 Mar 2017
Dear Ms. Charlene San Augustin, We take negative feedback seriously. Therefore the management have done their own investigation. Your complaints were: > Staff told you that you can't pay for two extra beds for your two friends > Staff told you outside food/drinks is strictly prohibited > Room ready but linens are yet to be replaced > Light bulbs are busted > You claimed to have paid Agoda P2,548.00 which you showed the staff through your cell phone > You said the agreement between Agoda and the resort is not your problem. > You said our manager Gigette did not apologised. The following are answers to your complaints: > You booked online thru Agoda for a standard room that accommodates a minimum of two pax to a maximum of three pax for the price of P2,700/night. Your reservation information booking number is 122434444. You arrived with your husband, two children, one nanny and two of your friends. A total of seven pax. > You were given a registration form to be filled in. On the form, it states the resort rules and policies. Our front desk politely asked you to fill in the form and to read the resort rules and policies. You filled in the form and signed with the understanding that you have agreed to our policies. Rules and Policies such as personal food and drinks are not allowed; swimming pool opens at 8am to 10 pm; outside visitors last visit to your room is at 9pm. The resort allowed your husband to consume his alcohol which he brought in with him to the resort; your husband used the pool at 4am considering the fact there were other guests who were sleeping. The swimming pool is right next to the suites and 9 other cottages; you started to entertain outside visitors at your suite at 10:30 pm. > You asked for an upgrade for the obvious reason that a standard room with a maximum of three pax cannot accommodate seven of you. Therefore, the room offered to you was at that time being serviced because the previous guests just checked out. This was the reason why the "linens were yet to be replaced." > There was nothing wrong with the light bulbs. There are two ways to turn on/off the light bulbs from the ceiling fan. One from the main switch as you enter the room and the other from the ceiling fan. This was demonstrated to you by our staff soon after you asked for an assistance. > You asked for a refund during your check out. You showed a picture to the front desk with no reference number just a price of P2,548 which you claimed you paid online to Agoda. We have a hard copy sent to us by Agoda the price you paid online for P2,700/night with a booking number. Even though we were aware the correct price was P2,700/ night we allowed you to pay the P2,548/ night. Nabulao resort takes pride in offering every possible convenience needed for your stay. Our manager Gigette sincerely apologised to you. We hope this investigation will find you well.

We stayed last night. Lovely ambience great pool ... room ordinary and over priced. Alcahol was an absurd price. They were charging 150 pesos for a nip. When a local bottle of 375ml spirits is just 39pesos. It is outrageous to charge 5times the price of a bottle for one nip. The food was also outrageously priced. Eatery style food at ten times the price. The one good thing was the lovely staff and the level of service they provided. It is a shame the owners want to rip the guests off. Dont stay here drive on. It is shocking value for money. Wake up owners. Price your place reasonably and you will have many guests.

Hi. We thank you for your review and apologize for the inconvenience of the delayed service. The resort was fully booked and almost half the resort staff are indeed new. With regards to food serving and preparation, the kitchen cooks/prepares the dishes based on which order slip comes in first. Serving time depends on the dish ordered. (ex. Pizza may take more time since the dough is made from scratch and needs to be baked in the oven for 15 minutes. Also additional orders are issued a new order slip and is placed in the order slip cue. We apologize if this was not explained by our new staff, they are now informed. We will improve the efficiency of our kitchen to prepare dishes faster and better. There may have just been some misunderstanding but, for online booking sites, it is pretty much black and white for us. The resort is sent an official voucher from the online booking site with the details of the guest, dates of stay and the amount to charge. The resort just complies with this official voucher. Again we thank you for your review. We take it as something positive to help us improve our service and guest experience.

Nice room...that's all!
Kitchen service was TERRIBLE! Food took "forever" to arrive. I guess the kitchen was understaffed.
On our last day, our Pancit Canton even had "bukbok" (bugs). We returned it and in fairness, they didn't charge us.
They didn't even give us a Senior's Discount for our room. They said that only food are given this discount.

Btw, no receipts were issued to our group upon payment/checkout.

The staff though, were very courteous and attentive.

Had a relaxing 4 days in paradise with the best food and service ( I recommend the KInilaw) . Room was amazing, close to pool and beach, safe swimming and great amenities, pump boat snorkeling tours, jet skis etc. They gave us a free bonfire dinner on the beach for our last night , amazing sunsets on the beach. Staff are amazing and make you feel like family. Thanks again Lourde, Mimi, Jacinto, Leny, Rodrigo, and especially Arve for giving us a memorable romantic vacation, Great cookies too;)
