Ok... the room was comfortable and clean. Problem was outside the room. Graffiti in the elevator. Parking is ridiculous.
The common areas were uncomfortable. It could just be the crowd that was there when I was at the property, or maybe the police presence.
We stayed here for 2 nights. One of the hardest parts of this hotel is getting to it. Your GPS should work fine except that it expects you to cross 3 lanes of bumper to bumper to make your turn.

great experience here. very clean, good internet, very good tv channels, good breakfast except area and orange juice. helpfull staf. Very quiet room on the highway side. And the lazy/crazy elevator is quiet

I like the place with a few exceptions. Everyone here is very nice to deal with. The price is right. Beds comfortable and clean. Breakfast ok. Rooms showing some wear and tear. Desk chair arms frayed and it squeaks. Fridge could be colder, door sticks....More

If this is the Sleep Inn & Suites in Metairie. There is not much around it that is walkable. It is not far from a Main Street with a lot of food restaurants but it is about half mile away and you would be walking on very busy road or through what appeared to be commercial area. ( with car repair businesses, bars, towing business etc) you could take cab into New Orleans from there or probably bus and then you could walk around New Orleans area
