We decided to end our vacation with a one night stay on Bailey Island, at the recommendation of a friend.  We chose the Sunset Room of the Log Cabin Inn.  We checked in an hour or so before sunset and asked the person who checked us in for recommendations for dinner.  She didn’t seem to think anywhere local was that... In a few short words. it gets better every time.. We just love it here. The rooms are immaculate, the food is great. They treat you like family. Ask anyone where to go. what to do and you will get a detailed verbal list of the places they love as much as you will.

My husband and I stayed at the Log Cabin as a celebration of our 25th anniversary. We stayed in the Wiseman for a little less than a week. The view from the deck was breathtaking (including a couple of amazing sunsets). The Inn provides everything you could possibly want...cotton balls, lotion, soap, shampoo, mints and candies, free samples of olive... More

Our group of six spent a night during our coastal Maine motorcycle trip at the Log Cabin Inn. The rooms were nicely appointed, the heated pool a welcome relaxation after riding 150 miles that day. The grounds were beautiful with their flower gardens. Everything was very clean with attention to detail. The breakfast was great and the muffins and egg... More

Stayed two nights in the Mt washington room on the 2nd floor. Huge room with a private balcony with great views of Mt washington, 90 miles away. Fully functional kitchen, complete stocking of pots, pans, plates, cups, etc. Hot tub on the balcony. Ceiling fans and plenty of windows ensure a nice cool room, but air conditioning units ensure comfort even... More

We had one night stay in this lovely place. Our room was filled with comfortable, homey decorated touches, that felt like a friends home rather than a hotel. All rooms faced the water, with private balconies/patio. We enjoyed a spectacular sunset from our patio. Breakfast was ample and well served, also with a water view. Inn keepers are very friendly... We have stayed at the Log Cabin Inn several times and enjoyed it. The breakfast was great. The room was clean and well furnished, but the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. We felt is necessary to leave after one night. They were however kind enough to refund our second night according to their policies.

Best Bed And Breakfast in Maine. The breakfast is different and delicious every morning. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The view of the water is breathtaking. Most important is the friendly and helpful staff. A great place to relax and explore.

Booked the last room for a friends wedding. What a surprise! The whole place was beautiful and right on the ocean. Breakfast was excellent, the staff cordial and accommodating. We had a full kitchen and the option of an elegant dinner in the main lodge. I would go back in a second.
