Our multi-day visit to Dixon's was not the best camping experience of the year, but there was much to be thankful for: great location (just a few miles from several ocean beaches), quiet atmosphere, and a nice swimming pool. Bathroom houses are scattered throughout the campground for easy access which is very convenient since virtually no camp sites have sewer...

We had a site near the pool, playground and bath house. It was a great family place. The new bath houses are very clean and maintained very well. The pool area is great. Not a lot of privacy between the sites.

We have been going to Dixon's for 5 years and we love it every time. It is always clean and quiet at the times it should be!!! There were some upgrades to the shower/bath house and also a new gazebo added near the pool for added shade! We are 2 adults with 2 kids ...kids are now 12 and they...

First let me start by saying that I read the negative reviews and cannot believe what people typed! People complaining must just need something to complain about. The staff was very friendly. I loved the use of the electronic key card gate to get into the campground. About 10 minutes from the beach was a nice plus as well. Also...

Clean, well-run, decent space for RV's . Owners watch out for any problems and nip them in the bud. Kids love the pool and great place for them to ride their bikes. New showers are well-taken care of by the staff.

We had been looking forward to sitting by our campfire at night and enjoying the downtime. But we were disappointed upon arriving at our campsite to see how small and how un-private it was. The campsites are literally on top of each other and so you have to hope to have very quiet and pleasant neighbors. We were lucky in...

We made a reservation by phone with Roberta in February 2016 for the month of June 2016. Like most RV campers we had a few simple requests: 50 AMP electric, sewer hook-up, water and a view of the southern sky for our DishTV system. Upon arrival we were advised they have no sewer at all, very few 50 AMP sites,...

We just got back from a two night stay at Dixon's. I had found it on the website and had read the other reviews. True to form. Clean, quiet, affordable, great amenities and location. We had site #23 which was shady all day, right next to a little pond. Very nice spot. Spent some time at both Ogunquit & York....make...

Took camper up to see the Lighthouse at Cape Neddick. Went after Labor Day to miss the crowds. Had the pool to oursleves. Showers need a quarter but I quit before the hot water did. Sinks are on the outside of the building. Since we were off season the rate was slightly lower. Must have $5 cash for gate. Right...

We stayed 2 nights in a Yurt- very cool! However, it was right across the trail from the bathrooms so there was a lot of foot traffic, and vehicles going by. First morning happened to be a Monday and apparently that's garbage day so there was a giant garbage truck emptying the dumpster which happened to be next to the...
