Just spent a beautiful fall weekend in Maine and decided to stay at the Harpswell Inn. The owners are really nice and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was very pleasant. You get to chat with other guests and the owners bring you fresh baked goodies with wonderful coffee and offerings like blueberry pancakes, omelets or eggs benedict. The surrounding property... Location is incredible. Off the beaten path and gorgeous view of the harbor. The house is HUGE with beautifully appointed rooms. We stayed in the Curtis Room. Yummy king-size bed with super soft linens. Full bathroom was across the hall, but a small toilet room is also in the room. Seating area also inside the room. Perfect! There's also a... More

First of all you have a historic New England Inn with a view of one of the Bays and at low tide you can walk across the sandbar to an island and watch the sunset. You also are within easy walking distance of a lobster pound if you would like to take home fish lobster! The Inn it's self is... More

We stayed there on mothers day, had not planned ahead, but were welcomed in by Anne. She showed us around and we choose the third floor, look out room. It was cute, clean and quite. Heated by fire place and great light from the skylights. The hosts knew an abundance about area and my new favorite restaurant, the Dolphin Marina, another... More

Traveling up to Maine to take in some NESCAC football and found the perfect inn. Nestled on a quaint point on Harpswell, Dick and Anne's Inn was exactly what I was looking for. The Harpswell Inn is the perfect escape from New York. The yard and view of the Middle Bay was incredibly beautiful in the low winter light. Dick... More

We held a wedding in September 2015, utilizing the Inn and an outside tent event on the lawn. Many guests stayed at the Inn. The breakfast and inside dinners were personally prepared and most excellent. The wedding event was also prepared by the owners and staff and was done in a excellent fashion. We could not have asked for a... More

The Harpswell Inn is a beautiful place with much charm. We stayed in the Rackliffe Room; one issue for me was that I wouldn't called it a "seaview" room (advertised on the website), as you could barely glimpse the water. Also, because of its first floor location, you can also hear people coming and going although it was quiet at... More

Great location! Beautiful scenery, especially at sunset. Brunswick and Bowdoin College are close by. Maine shore just down the hill. We stayed in Eagle Nest and very much enjoyed the comfort and quiet. Breakfasts are as breakfasts should be--don't miss them.

We returned to the Harpswell Inn with friends because we had had a lovely stay a few years ago. The setting is lovely, environs perfectly Maine coast, but sadly the charm of the inn is lost. The house and rooms remain the same, but the atmosphere and care is missing. It is as if the spirit of the place is... More
