The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was cooked to order with a good selection of items. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Locally don't expect up scale eateries but the local food is good.

Stayed here three nights while we explored the region. Surprised to be met by live-in managers rather than the owners with whom we had booked. But it was OK and a nice touch were the home bakes that were left out every day for guests. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Another nice tounch was the fact that every... More

Darcy and Tom are wonderful sweet accommodating excellent host and hostess! The variety of breakfast offerings were greater than any other B&B and delicious! I would give him 10 Stars if it was available. Stay here or stay or with them if they move to another location and you will be pleasantly accommodated like family.

Loved the location just minutes from Baxter State Park. This huge old house makes a perfect B&B! The caretakers were warm and welcoming...couldn't have been better. They made awesome breakfasts and there were treats for us all each evening. The room and bath was quaint and amazingly clean...and I am picky. Note these are "house rooms" so you can hear... More

This B & B was cozy and very welcoming. The breakfasts were cooked to order from a menu and had some yummy local offerings. Our Hosts, Darcy and Tom, also baked some treats every afternoon. It was a great place to stay and I would hightly recommend it to everyone.

Lovely room, delicious breakfasts, thoughtful hosts...we were completely satisfied with our stay. But with the Young House coming under new ownership one of these days, it's impossible to predict what it will be like. So visit while you can!

We were greeted by Darcy and Tom at the door of The Young House B&B and immediately felt welcomed. The inn is a lovely century home with lots of Maine woods ambiance. The room was comfortable and breakfast was great. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area. We climbed Mt. Katahdin, which was strenuous and... More

We stayed here for two nights with a hike of Katahdin in between. Actually that was the plan, but as soon as we arrived Darci, the summer manager informed us of the formalities of climbing Katahdin - very helpful - and ways to deal with those formalities. So we went into the park on day 1 and climbed Mt. Doubletop... More

We were greeted and welcomed by the hostess, Darci, and given a tour of the house before being shown our room. We had the Compass Pond room which was decorated with a moose motif and was very charming. Nice comfortable bed, tv with lots of movies to watch if you so desired. Coffee maker was also available. There was a... More
