Trying to find an excuse to go back to newcastle to visit the Tipsy Butler with my boyfriend. I went 4 years ago, and had the most wonderful experience and breakfast. I'd give this my highest recommendation. Warm, welcoming, the host left me be but gave me a thorough tour of the

This was our second time at the Tipsy Butler, and we love the place. Sarah is perhaps the most accomodating innkeeper we've ever met. Her warmth and hospitality are amazing, and there doesn't seem to be a contingency she has't thought of, including slickers in case of rain

This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sarah was very nice and very talkative! She showed us around the property and told us anecdotes about the home and area. She had tons of games and dvds and a stereo in the living room area.

"Choose the Maid's Room if you have one other person travelling with you because there is a small but charming twin bed single room attached to the Maid's Room with a Jack and Jill bathroom. My husband and I put our teen aged son in there. It was glorious."
"The Cook's room is the smallest but cozy, while the Maid's Room looked gorgeous. Sarah recommended the Butler's Room for our next stay, also spacious (like the Maid's) and beautiful."
"All of the rooms are comfortable, but the Butler's Room is superb."
"We were on the second floor, the maid's room, and our daughter was in the scullery room. It was perfect for us."
"book early--there are only a few rooms available."
