Our recent stay at The Orland House turned out to be that place you hope you stay at while traveling. The house, built in 1820, overlooked a river in the quaint village of Orland. Our room was large and comfortable, and provided a good home away from home for the four days we stayed. While in the quiet countryside, it...

If one had to have a model B&B, this is it. The mansion on a hill - the actual B&B - is not seen in this photo. The mansion circa 1820 was part of the Orland estate and of historical significance. Shown is a B&B cottage. The hosts have a career I could identify with: service to our country. Cynthia...

I spent 3 nights at this wonderful B&B with the amazing innkeepers, Cindy and Al. The breakfasts were fabulous. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I am still trying to find one like it for home. I felt like I was visiting family. I was warmly welcomed. I was referred to a great (if...

No sooner than we got off the BMW R1200RT we were greeted by Alvion smiling ear to ear seeing a beamer roll up his driveway, which lead to a MOA 10% discount for our stay. Room was great and the breakfast was awesome. Ah ya, don't expect high end dining close by...but do expect a wonderful deli/market with dinners ready...

We needed a place to stay after a long day at Acadia National Park. We elected to stay at Orland House. We couldn’t have made a better choice! Alvion and Cynthia are some of the most charming and knowledgeable people we have ever run across in our travels. In our experience, it’s always a bit uncomfortable showing up and imposing...

My husband, 9 year old son, and I enjoyed a wonderful two-week stay in the Orland House B&B river cottage. This charming cottage was an old New England farmhouse that Cindi and Alvion Kimball relocated, re-oriented and renovated to provide ideal accommodations in this area of Maine. The Kimballs are outstanding hosts. They had everything prepared and were very supportive...

Miles from any town- that's ok. Unwashed sheets discovered at 11 pm - unpleasant. The owner accosting us in the morning, insisting we owe them more than the price agreed to in writing months prior - unacceptable. These owners should stick to their civil war reenactments and leave the innkeeping to others

An agreement was made with these guests to keep their motorcycle trailer and truck at our B&B for two weeks for free if they reserved two rooms for three days. We would keep their vehicles while they visited Nova Scotia. They cancelled one day of their stay which changed the agreement. We thought it was appropriate to be paid something...

Orland House was a very beautiful B & B with wonderful hosts Al and Cindi. We very much enjoyed our time there along with the yummy breakfasts and would return again. I would most certainly recommend this B & B to anyone who wants to relax or would like to tour the down east of Maine. Crystal of WV

“Room with nautical motif overlooking the river is the best room in the home. Eat at McLeod's restaurant in nearby Bucksport and get a 10 % discount by mentioning Orland's House referred you. Tell Alvion that "Capt Daryl" on his 53rd honeymoon referred you.”
