Our cabin out back was nice, despite the incredibly weird and awkward steps on and off the porch to get inside. This was my problem: lack of communication from the hosts. They knew the toilet was slow to fill and would not flush twice in a row because it takes forever and ever to be usable again, but did they say anything? No, we had to call because we thought it was broken. Just a small sign up behind the toilet would have been nice, something like "don't give up, just be patient, it DOES work but is painfully slow in refilling the tank." And then we try the stove to heat the cabin. It was October and chilly, and they knew it didn't work. Did they tell us to give them a call so they could start it? Leave a note? Nope. Once again, we had to call. It's a B and B but they really don't stress to you at all that if you're in the cabin you're paying for breakfast, and when we arrived there was not a soul around or any kind of signage telling us what to do, where to go, etc. It looked like someone's house, no "Office" sign, and you end up not knowing what to do or where to go. I think my favorite part was getting back to our room after dark, and honestly, not one light on. There was a weird side road you could use to get to our room, but we had already told them we'd rather just park in the regular driveway and walk through the barn to get to the back yard and the cabin. Everything was absolutely pitch black, not a sign of life, no helpful lights to guide us around the side yard to where we needed to go. It was like they didn't really want to be running this as a business and we were just a nuisance. If I had paid less I might be less crabby, but it was NOT worth the money because their heart is not in it---the business is for sale, but I didn't know that until I arrived. I would never go back. My mistake in thinking it would be fun.…

We saw the great reviews so decided to book a stay. During check in we were taken out back door to another set of rooms. The room we were given was in fact a renovated motel room. It was nice, cute and tiny, but for the money there are a lot of better motels and hotels available The service was good and restaurant was excellent

This place is absolutely fabulous!! Kenny and crew were fantastic! The food was amazing too!!. We stayed in the cottage, very cute, neat, and clean. The hosts made sure we had anything we needed. Best place we stayed during our 10 day trip. The turkeys and other farm animals were adorable. I can't say enough positive things about this place and the owners, we loved it here!! They made our stay outstanding!!

This is our first of 2 nights nights at the lovely 1800’s Bradford House B & B, and my husband and I are already overwhelmed by the hospitality that greeted us tonight. We had a family emergency that delayed our vacation plans by several days, but we were determined to still arrive for our reservation at the Bradford House. Unexpected traffic on I90 and I495, along with poor weather caused us delays in arriving at the Bradford by 7:30 as planned. GPS had us arriving after 9, and when I asked if there would be any place in town to eat at that late of an arrival, the owner, Kenny, said they would provide dinner when we arrived. We called and were asked what we’d like to eat, and upon our response to “surprise us,” Billy (Kenny’s brother) presented us with a delicious sautéed chicken in a mushroom, onion and wine reduction sauce, green beans and roasted pesto potatoes! Plus a marvelous bottle of Bordeaux. Such hospitality is a rarity, and so is the Bradford House! Thank you for an amazing start to our vacation! …

I stayed one night at the Bradford House before I entered into Baxter State Park via the North entrance. I wanted to get a good night of sleep and a super breakfast before I spent the next 3 days in the woods. The Bradford House delivered. I was placed into a room on the second floor that had a comfy queen-sized bed. The room along with the bedding was warm, clean and all welcoming. Large bathroom on the second floor was super. Best of all was superb breakfast essentially designed exclusively for me. The new couple that now run the Bradford House could not have been more accommodating. I will be back.

We stayed here while hiking Baxter State Park - this B&B was extremely close. We were very impressed with the Farmhouse which was built in 1840 and kept in excellent condition. The grounds and house were very well kept, neat and clean. We were provided all the amenities of a fancy hotel, plus we were served a fantastic, homemade breakfast! (Wow! Can these folks cook!) The owners couldn't have been nicer and were even genuinely concerned for us as we went into the backwoods of Maine, wanting to make sure we were safe. We're so thankful we were able to stay here.

Lovely B&B complete with many historical touches such as a claw foot tub and a push button light switch. The bedroom was equipped with a television and fan. The free internet service was great! The hosts were very nice. We were served a delicious, home cooked breakfast with fresh eggs. This was a stop over on our way to St. Andrew, NB. While here, we visited the Lumberjack Museum and took a drive on the Maine Scenic Byway.

We needed a place to stay as we traveled from Canada to Hancock, Maine. This was in the perfect location, quiet, and comfortable. We were in the attic because we had our adult son with us. It was a little strange to see all the family photos, stuffed animals, lazy boys, etc., but it seems like the attic was where all this stuff ended up after cleaning up the rooms on the second floor. In any event, the couple that ran the place were very nice to us!

We spent 1 night here on our way to Canada. From the start, the owners made us feel right at home in their beautiful Victorian home. Our room was lovely and very clean and comfortable. The down comforters and luxurious towels were a real treat! We were very pleased with the breakfast that included eggs from their own chickens. The B & B was very easy to find and in a great location just east of Baxter State Park. After a long day in the car, my husband and I took a hike on the trail that runs for miles that is right behind the house. I especially loved the beautiful grounds at this B & B.

I felt right at home, that is at my grandma's house, from the moment I arrived. It was that warm feeling of someone taking care of you along with some nice cookies to prove it. The super comfortable bed and luxury towels were even better than grandma's. Breakfast with eggs from their own chickens was a real treat.
