We recently had a family reunion at Chesapeake Beach Resort. We had over 25 people in attendance (including a few who just came for a group family dinner at the hotel one night). Most of the guests stayed in rooms at the resort for three nights (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) and left for their homes across the county on Sunday morning... More

Stopped here for two nights en route a family funeral. The resort is sort of down-at-heel Trump-ish but our room was nice, clean and comfortable. As one who is partially disabled I requested a room near the elevators and they were glad to accommodate my needs. The food at the Rod and Reel is pretty dreadful as I had been... More

Was at a wedding on the shore and realized it would be fun to spend the night there rather than I trudge all the way back to DC. The hotel is off the road and has the "feel" of a small resort. The room was very nice with a beautiful view of the Bay. The complementary continental breakfast was fine... More

We were going to a wedding up the road at the Herrington on the Beach. The whole area is gorgeous -- right on the bay, water views, the whole deal. The hotel however is more like an old school Motel 6 than any resort or spa. The room was nice enough. We'd paid the small upgrade for a room with... More

We decided to get away for a night to the Bay Area in Md so we booked a room at this hotel. We were never here before, so we didn't know what to expect. When arriving, the desk staff picked a room that had a wonderful view of the bay and marina area. It was so relaxing or sit on... More

We had a surprise engagement dinner for my daughter and fiance. What a great place to hold it. We called ahead made reservations and had two private dining rooms with a cash bar. The appetizers were superb and the service was exceptional. Not enough can be said about food and of course my daughter said yes!. We are looking at... More

Staff was pleasant. Rod n Real was great. Room had a nice view. Several sections of the carpet were moldy. And changing the filters on the air conditioner did not help the level of humidity in the room. Conveniently located to several day trips. Overall a fun getaway, but the hotel rooms need upgrading.

This was such a great place. It reminded me a bit of Oceanside, CA. We were given an upgrade when we arrived which had a balcony view of the harbor. This was such a relaxing place. Having coffee out on the balcony and listening to the waves was awesome. Coffee and tea were available all day. Breakfast was good and... More

The hotel staff was the utmost professional and ensured that we had a beautiful stay. The view of the water is outstanding! The food at Rod and Reel was very good. I would not have changed anything about my stay. An absolutely perfect hotel stay! Highly recommend.
