Remarkable building rescue and restoration. It's clear why so many guests are returning for the 2nd or 3rd time. Wish the hotel bar/tavern serve lunch or snacks to those who travel across the ferry en route to points south.

We were part of a group that bicycled 70 miles to the Whitehaven Hotel in honor of a 70th birthday. The B&B is sited near a small ferry crossing to Princess Ann, and located near a few quaint streets, ideal for a leisurely walk in this small town. Peace, quiet, birds, shoreline and a very welcoming inn awaited. There were...

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at the Whitehaven Hotel. The Lincoln Room was comfortable for all of us. There was a trundle and a rollaway for our girls. Cindy and Jefferson were excellent hosts. The breakfast were delicious, and the friendly atmosphere was really nice. The waterviews and the nearby ferry crossing were beautiful. The outdoor spaces...

My husband and I just took a quick getaway to the eastern shore and had the pleasure of staying at the Whitehaven Hotel. This place is incredible. The rooms are all gorgeous and the historical house makes you feel as if you are stepping back in time. If you are approaching from the South you will be taking a small...

The Whitehaven Hotel was my first stay in a Bed and Breakfast. We wanted a place to unwind near water but away from the crowded beach area. When I searched for a place to stay near Nanticoke, this is one of the places that popped up. We called for last minute reservations and spoke with Cindy. We rented the Garden...

We stayed just one night to celebrate my husband's birthday. When we arrived, Cindy, the caretaker met us and showed us around. We enjoyed the welcome wine and cheese, and fruit sat out for us. We truly enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds and rocking in the chairs on the porch. The whole evening was so peaceful and beautiful. We...

We stayed one night for a birthday celebration. Eleven friends fit comfortably and took over the hotel. Cindy could not have been more accommodating and the hotel was perfect for a relaxing evening. I would highly recommend it!

From the time we arrived, our host Cindy made the whole stay stress free and nice. The breakfast she made was so good. Looking forward to going again. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. A hidden gem on the Wicomico River and a beautiful place to wake up. Take the trip down Whitehaven Road, or cross the Wicomico River on the Whitehaven ferry, kick your shoes off and let Cindy and Jefferson take care of you for a few days. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Whitehaven Hotel is a beautifully restored, historical Bed & Breakfast nestled on the Wicomico River with two docks for visiting boaters and sits beside a 300 year old Ferry (said to be the oldest in the Continental United States). It is a scenic 20 minute ride to Salisbury, Princess Anne or 45 min. ride to the Maryland beaches, but "who needs beaches with our views" and Maryland crabs waiting to be opened and savored only a few minutes down the road. The Whitehaven Hotel provides kayaks and bikes for its guests, I might add that the kayaking is unique with many vistas and waters ways to investigate, while our property is a sanctuary for birds. On any given day you may see eagles, osprey, purple martins, heron, hawks, red winged black birds, humming birds and many more species. It's a gem of a find. Our motto "Enter as Guests and leave as Friends." ... more   less
