Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked a couple of months ago, Turned up before 5pm only to have to make a phone call as no one on site. The room very out dated, sort of clean, need new beds(old ensemble sunk in middle). Bathroom needs total makeover, shower over bath, very unsafe, not disabled freindly. notice in kitchen to take rubbish bag out to bin outside before leaving.....very over priced. needs to be brought up to 2021 not 1960 standards
not recommend at all.

These holiday units are in desperate need of a make over! The reviews say that it was decorated in 2016, I can’t see how that was possible unless the glue used on the wallpaper and borders have dried out! The paper is in places just falling off! The bath has been painted (!) and the water pressure was non existent..... however, if, like us, you wanted a clean, spacious, not too far out of town, couple of nights stay, then this place is clean and spacious! Be warned thought the road is continuous all night with traffic, though 6-9 am was by far the worst!

his place is very central, we stayed for 4 nights. The management was very helpful and friendly. These apartments really need to be upgraded they have not be refurbished for many years. There was quite a few things that needed looking at in our apartment, the hairdryer back had come off, you had to hold it on to use it. The hot tap over the hand basin would not turn on, the manageress said that a plumber had fixed it but obviously it was not fixed, taps really could use new washers as they dripped. The bed was not good very bouncy. Kitchen was functional but very old.

On arrival my boyfriend and I were charged again, having previously paid and confirmed a booking for two we were told this was an error and we had only paid for one ($79 each a night was INSANE for this place, that price was too much for one!) so we paid and agreed to take this up with the agent we booked through.
Checking in the smell in the hallway was old food, almost unbearable, once inside we sat down for a cup of tea and found a bag of used syringes and small plastic bags in a bathroom bag, hidden in the kitchen cupboard. Obviously not for medical use, but regardless should not have been there. When this was handed in to management she tried to rationalise this by saying 'no one had been in there for a long time' and 'they're probably for insulin'. Neither of these points were comforting, and we should have demanded a refund then, but we were exhausted.

The place was filthy, I mean really awful. Toilet was still filthy from the last 'guests', there were scuff marks, handprints and smudges of makeup and dirt over the walls, above the bed, along the hall and over the couch, which by the way made us both itch terribly and was so sunken inward it was not usable.
The kitchen was not much better, the oven contained a dirty, long forgotten baking dish and some stained, grimy cups.
The water ran yellow from the kitchen taps, from the rust.

The bathroom was mouldy. The roof had clouds of mould growing in cracks, the skirting board had so much water damage it had all but come off, and was blackened and horrible.
The shower was maybe the worst I've ever come across, no pressure at all, if you choose to use cold water you can only have the tap on a tiny bit or the whole shower turns to ice water.
There was hair and dust everywhere.

The linen was clean enough, but no doona cover provided? The doona was just sandwiched between two sheets. The bed was pretty terrible, but this was the least of our worries.

On the second day we asked for access to the aforementioned free wifi, to be handed a password that didn't work, when we asked for a correct one the lady at reception confessed she didn't know it and asked my boyfriend to fix it for them, which he did as he needed internet access, one of the selling points for this place. He got the right password for her, only to have her ask him several times again on our way in or out if he can fix it or do little things for her, even going so far as to tell other guests there was no wifi available until we returned so he could fix it. He was good humoured about it, but I thought it incredibly poor form to have her run out at 8pm as we're returning for dinner and ask him to do jobs etc.

The other reviews are correct, it's not overly quiet, more neighbouring apartments than highway noise we found, but noisy none the less.

Will not recommend this to anyone, it's just not worth it. We could have found a clean place for much less had I known. Also have a feeling we were scammed with the 'only charged for one person through your agent' business on entry. Will most certainly be following this up.

We stayed here (Feb 2013) for 2 nights, it really is not suitable for renting out. Really the whole place needs gutting. I have never stayed anywhere this dirty and so badly in need of total refurbishment. I would never have expected this to have passed any inspection at all, we had plugs behind the bed that were really dangerous. The wiring was partly unattached and plugged into a electric blanket.
In the kitchen lino had been laid down on top of an uneven floor and around the edges there were bulges, I wondered what was underneath.
Behind the bed it was just so thick with dust.. Heard enough, just find somewhere else to stay.
Just to put some 'icing on the cake' we had the road outside our rooms being relaid on both of our nights stay.

We are led to believe the apartments had been renovated.. I am kicking myself for not taking more notice of Tripadvisor reviews.
The 'self-serve laundry' was a wash house out the back in the freezing winds.

Firstly the location, which is on a very very busy and noisy main road. It also is in a pretty rough area of Hobart, we arrived exhausted and decided rather than drive we would find the local shop and eat in. We skipped the fish and chip shop that had been ram raided 4 days earlier. The apartments are large, that is the only good point, ours was clean apart from the ants which were a major problem. They are very tired and pretty horrible, my best advice is stay away unless you are desperate.

Terrible place to stay for a couple or family.
Our room was cold. The bathroom/shower was filthy with soap scum on the shower walls and mould around the sealant of the bath. Could not even run a bath for the children as it would have taken a year to fill with water from the pressure being so poor.
Kitchen tap squirting water out of the spout when used and water going everywhere. Just dirty!
For the amount you pay per night you would expect it to be clean and warm.
Would never stay there again.
Gutter the place and start over or keep up to the maintenance of the place, geez!
Not happy at all

The apartments is very clean and large for a family. The owner is nice and she find lots of visit for us, she is friendly and very receptive.
The room have everything's needful to have a good stay, like an hair dryer, kitchen materials, DVD player ,free wifi...
There is a large bathroom with an bathtub, then a pleasant living room with a balcony.
A little place like this its better to meet some people and find out Tassie culture!
I recommend to have a good time in holidays.

Well what can I say .. Booked about 8 months in advance .. Arrived and they say we will have to put you in the office for your stay .. Having to share our room with the Asian office staff through the day.. Because they had not allocated us a room. This room was filthy mould everywhere tv in bedroom not working. Asked for a refund as we had paid top price for the low level room .. They said we will give you extra night stay in the future... As if I would ... never stay in that dump again. We were asked on our day of departure by the Asian office guy if we were booking out today we said yes and his reply was "good" so you can see these people are very unfriendly. I poured a glass of water and obviously the pipes are very rusty .. Had a very rusty glass of water please people do yourself a big favour and bypass this dump and choose somewhere else to stay .."Holiday From Hell"

Dear Guest. Firstly I would sincerely like to apologize for this misunderstanding and your inconvenience. 1. We informed you that 4 weeks before your stay that we have no records show you booked and our bank statements did not show we took your money. 2. Even though we were booked out we gave you the option to stay in the office while we find suitable accommodation so you would not sleep in your car for free of charge. 3. We were happy to give you a refund even though you never showed us a booking reference and bank statements. Its just a shame that after receiving your call a few days ago we agreed to a full refund although the paperwork was never provided you still decided to post these comments. Regards Management
