Just awful, arrived late and tired otherwise would have looked for another place to stay, smelly room, poor decoration, everything needs renewing. Dead lock on door broken. Pictures online are deceiving, they must be at least 20 years old.

Not a bad place to spend the night. An older property that could use a face lift but good value for the money. Most places in this area wanted a two or three night minimum but Captains Lodge gave us a one night stay. Sometimes when you travel you only want a single night and this worked perfect for us.

Everything is deterioration. Bath tube is dirty and doesn't swallow water, fourniture is sticking, blankets have holes everywhere and there are a constant noise of i don't know what in the room. Location is very close to the road and you listent to the cars in every moment. Despite the room is non smoking one, will smell tobacco in there.

... ... a relatively cheap (for the area) motel. Rooms are big and a bit worn an dated but seem well cleaned. Location is ok. There is not a lot within walking distance but Rockport is only a short drive away. Lack of fridge was somewhat of a drawback.

We, once again, spent our vacation in Gloucester and stayed at our usual place, the Captain's Lodge. Komal was right there to welcome us with her warmth and smile. We can always count on having a clean, comfortable room and a good night's sleep. The pool is a fabulous feature if you're all beached out! Very close to downtown Gloucester...

Turn the clocks back to the old style mom-pop type motel. Desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall appearance inside and out was sad and tired. Questionable looking pool, poorly kept grounds, carpeting and bedspreads probably left over from the 1960's. Room was clean. No free breakfast, which (considering the lack of updates) made this motel more expensive than...

This, unfortunately, was about the only place close to Rockport we could afford. $166 is a lot to pay for a VERY basic roof over one's head and a bed to sleep on. No microwave, fridge or coffee maker in the room, all of which are standard these days even in a Motel 6. These folks are trying to run...

When we arrived, we did not know what to expect. The room was large and spacious and very clean. There is a pool and it was a big plus. For an older motel it was just perfect and affordable. The service was very accommodating for our needs.
