We had a lovely room on the second floor of the MacDonald house with a whirlpool tub, working fireplace and outdoor balcony sitting area. We were given a Duraflame log for the fireplace, which lasted just long enough to fall asleep with the cozy fire burning next to us. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast was...

Thanks for taking the time to write us such a detailed review. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves overall. I'm sorry the extra heating unit was a bit too loud for you. You are correct in that often the extra wall heater is not even needed, but then again there are days when it makes the room extra toasty warm when...

Two day, milestone birthday stay, in November 2014. Tim is a great host! Truly cares about the comfort of his guests. Enjoyed having a glass of wine in the small bar of the main house before going out to dinner. A full pour and prices range from about $8 to $10 a glass. Was impressed with the daily breakfast that...

My husband and just stayed for one night. We have been to various Inns over the years and this one, is a very nice one. Has an old fashioned feel to it, the innkeeper was not at the desk when we arrived, but the other guests in the sitting area said that they person was in the bar area helping...

Thanks for your brief visit and for taking the time to write a review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope that the two of you decide to visit again. If you visit again, I wanted to assure you that the bright porch lights won't be lit overnight next time. Those lights were turned on during some maintenance and...

This historic and charming Inn includes a main building and two additional buildings of well appointed rooms, many with fireplaces and Jacuzzis. The host owner and staff are warm and welcoming. They are knowledgeable about the area and helpful. Cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are readily available in the dining room throughout the day and evening. That is especially...

Reviewing the Cornell demonstrates how much a variation between star ratings can depend on the smallest things. It's really more of a small hotel than a B & B. The bedrooms are named after the wives of American presidents. We got Grace Coolidge - not a huge room, and the sloping eaves gave it a slightly constricted feel, but fine...

My wife and I visit Lenox in late August this year, mainly to attend a Tanglewood concert. We wanted to stay in an inn with character and charm, and Cornell Inn was a perfect choice. The inn has a choice of various suites, each with a distinct character. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and we enjoyed relaxing in the garden....

I stayed here for two nights over what was probably the peak fall weekend for visitors to the Berkshires (Columbus Day) and yet the inn kept a laid-back, unhurried feel. The 3 buildings have lots of historical character and the wooded setting is very picturesque. A couple small quibbles: The A/C-heat unit next to my bed was a bit loud...

We stayed in "The Barbara", which was wonderful! The 4 poster bed was so comfortable! The extra cot was comfortable for our 19 year old daughter and the room didn't feel crowded at all with this addition. The fireplace and two wingback chairs made for a cozy relaxing place to have a cup of hot apple cider or coffee. The...

My partner and I stayed for two nights at the end of October and left feeling refreshed and relaxed.
