i have stayed at both the Norwich Inn and Cranwell Resort & Spa and must say I MUCH prefer Mepal Manor. True, every inch or corner of the buildings and grounds are not perfectly manicured, but I had that at the other places and they felt so "cookie cutter" and uninteresting. This historic property exudes charm, uniqueness, and a genuine...

Had a spa service here at the end of January. I wasn't initially put off by the price of services as it is the Berkshires. The path to the building was shoveled but not sanded so we had a hard time getting up it. The welcome upon entering was lukewarm at best. I was given a robe that was too...

After reading these reviews, I approached my dining experience with much trepidation, but was delighted at every turn... including heading up a pleasant gravel road to this impressive manor home built at the turn of the century. Honestly felt I was in France. We had no reservation, but the dining staff was attentive and welcoming and gave us a spectacular...

Our kids were staying at a friend's house in Great Barrington for New Year's Eve, and we wanted to start the new year together. So, we looked around for an inn near Great Barrington. Most places were either all booked or required a two night stay due to the festivities. Our friends recommented Mepal Manor. When I called to make...

With an anniversary a week before Christmas, it is always fun to find a romantic get-away. The Mepal Manor & Spa received us early so that we could get our massages by 2 p.m. We had time to relax in the outside hot tub which has a beautiful view of the mountains. The massages were wonderful, and we topped it...

This spa ranks as the worst spa I have ever visited in my life. There are countless things that went wrong when I visited this spa. The owner does not have a handle on things and messed up every appointment made (I had my bridal party here for a weekend). I ended up bringing in my own talent due to...

I have not stayed here, but I have had many a wonderful dinner here. It is the best kept secret in the Berks that they are open to the public for dinner on Wed. and Thursday evenings. The weekends are generally reserved for weddings/functions. 2011 is Chef Rob's first year at Mepal Manor and the food he is producing is...

I stayed in a very small but charming room. The common areas are elegant and relaxing, the view onto the field below is most wonderful, there are some pleasant walks in the surrounding woods, breakfast was a treat, the staff was most helpful. Would love to go back and/or stay longer if it were not for the expensive price.

We stayed at Mepal Manor and Spa in New Marlborough, Mass. The guest rooms were the finest rooms we have visited in New England. The food was comforting and the views breathtaking. We took a yoga class at the spa which had heated floors for added comfort in the winter. The teacher was well trained. We jumped in the hot...
