This Hampton Inn was excellent for those with a budget in mind. Nothing too fancy but it is in a safe location, has an adjoining restaurant called Mick Morgan's and is in the same plaza of the Italian restaurant, The Chateau on Rt 1. The staff is very welcoming and attentive and as a Hilton Honors member I was greeted with a small gift bag with complimentary waters and warm cookies. The hotel has 6 floors and I had a nice quiet room on the 4th floor. The bed was super comfy with 4 pillows for the King size bed, a well-controlled heating unit, a workstation desk and a nice sunny window- no great view but that is to be expected. The location in Norwood is very good for business or pleasure and shopping. This is a location you would need a car...not a walkable area but it has easy access to all kinds of shopping. The hotel is minutes from Legacy Place in Dedham. I felt safe and secure with the well - lit premises and parking lots and I felt it was a safe area to leave my shopping purchases in the car. The breakfast area was spacious and super clean with a typical assortment of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, pastries and breads. You can tell that great pride is taken in caring for the space. Don't forget to use your AAA card to save 10% or better yet become a Hilton Honors member and get their best rate and some extra perks.

We chose this hotel for its price and location for a quick overnight near a wedding we were attending. Very pleased to find excellent value for our money as well. Check-in was fast and easy even though we arrived over an hour before official check-in time. Our room was perfectly clean and quiet. The bathroom was well-lit (a big plus for me, and a rare one even at high-end properties), The efficiency kitchen would be a wonderful amenity for a longer stay. The comfortable king bed did the job. What more would you want? Oh yes, a substantial and FREE breakfast! Will definitely book here when we need to be in this part of the world again.

First I want to say the Hilton App had so many issues trying to get a room at this hotel. Secondly customer service for the app is very frustrating and the rep hardly spoke English and could understand anything he was trying to do for me. And lastly I am very disappointed with this Hotel. I do have to say the staff was very accommodating and helpful. But the fact that the internet was down and we had no way to get in our rooms without the staff getting us in was terrible. They couldn’t even make us key cards due to the internet outage. Tv reception kept going out so no movie watching for the family. It was the worse Hilton family hotel experience we have ever had.

meant as an alternative to hotel in boston downtown to get to BO-downtown fast and cheap in combination with train from norwood depot. it works and it's cheap. the hotel itself is aging, poorly maintained, and suffers from lack of staff and attention. pros: there is a golf course and regional airfield on the back side: all quiet. cons: breakfast unexpected minimal but slightly ok, service: close to zero (despite promise to finally do a small cleaning after 3 days, it was not done until day 6 despite two reminders: unacceptable. billing, wifi, other: fine.

This hotel is attached to an Irish pub so that means the bathrooms in the lobby are not clean. The room we slept in reeked of dog urine. Apparently, they allow animals in the rooms, but they don't do any deep cleanings when the guess check out. The smell in the rooms is not bearable. I wouldn't recommend this place. For the sake of a favorable stay, find another place to stay.

We stayed in Room 607. There was very little water pressure in the shower and hot water was non existent. There was hot water in the sink but not the shower. I spoke to the front desk and maintenance was sent up to take a look. He came in, turned the shower on and said that it works. That was all the pressure it had. We checked out early.

Great title from a previous review that sums it up. Diamond member here. I stay in many Hampton Inns, Homewood Suites, Doubletrees, Hiltons - maybe 40 to 50 a night all over the country. You would think all Hilton's are created equally -- well that's just not true. This hotel felt a bit more like an upscale motel. The room was fine - relatively quiet (6th floor, top room), but the overall feel of the hotel felt a bit run down. On the 6th floor there's plastic tarp covering up holes in the wall from who knows what kind of construction that just doesn't look good. The elevator just looked gross..... It felt like a budget experience. It's fine for a couple nights but that's about it. Pillows were worn out and terrible. Beds felt like they were at the end of their lives. The hotel could use some investment.

Lincoln, New Hampshire128 contributions82 helpful votes
My wife and I stayed here twice over the course of two consecutive weeks. We chose this hotel because the price was decent, the reviews were good and we are Hilton honors members. Our experience was mixed. First off, I will say that the beds were comfortable and the rooms largely clean. That is essentially where the good ended for us. Check-in was perfunctory at best. While there were two or three employees behind the front desk each time, we were allowed to wait for one of the employees to deal with the confused elderly people in front of us while the other employees observed with their arms basically crossed. It was not until we had stood waiting for at least ten minutes that another check-in terminal was opened and we were finally acknowledged. When we were checked in, service was clinical, bordering on unfriendly. We felt as if we were bothering the staff. The first night we spent here we were issued a room on the 4th floor. We were awakened by the sound of loudly barking dogs at approximately 9 am. This went on way too long before the owners finally left. We were unaware that dogs were allowed at the hotel at all or we’d have likely chosen another property. Now we know. We later saw a sign at the front desk stating that no dogs over 25 lbs. would be allowed. The dogs that woke us up had to be considerably larger than that, given the sound of their barking. Complimentary breakfast is served until 9:30 am, so since I was now up, I went down to grab a plate for my wife and I. This was one of the saddest breakfast offerings I had seen in any hotel. All sugar and carbohydrates. No fruits or vegetables, pre-made cheese omelettes that were so over baked they were literally black around the edges. There were four tired looking turkey sausages in another chafing dish, and some dreadful looking potatoes in another. There were bagels, muffins and toast offered, as well as waffle irons and batter, and dry cereal. There was coffee available as well as juice from a dispenser. The apple juice was empty and dispensed just water, and since I saw no attendant, I opted for cranberry juice cocktail instead. We each ate a poor quality bagel and cream cheese to tide us over until we could find a decent breakfast place nearby. Our 2nd stay we were issued a room on the 5th floor. The sliding shower doors wouldn’t stay shut and kept opening while we tried to shower. Additionally, a small shelf in the shower had clearly been broken off and “glued” back onto the wall with caulking. The bathroom exhaust fan labored like a diesel truck, sputtering and gasping each time we turned it on. It’s worth mentioning that you cannot just connect to the internet at this property. Instead, you are prompted to sign up for service and give your credit card number. I haven’t seen this scam at other Hilton properties, but I wound up using my personal data to access the internet rather than giving personal financial information. It seemed unscrupulous to us to ask for these things from paying guests. Also, the cable tv went out several times, displaying the words “signal lost”. There was no inclement weather during this incident. I’m sure there are worse hotels in the area, but we will probably look for another option the next time we are in the area. I don’t need a parade when I spend some money at your hotel, but it’d be nice to not be greeted with contempt and mediocre accommodations.
