We stayed at the Inn between Christmas and New Years. The staff was nice. The rooms were charming. It reminded me of an old inn in the English country side only larger. When I left the room, I accidentally left behind a brand new very expensive nightgown on the top of the bed. As soon as I arrived at my...

My review title reflects the longetivity of the Red Lion Inn. First the good stuff - the Inn is very well run. The front desk staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The food we had in the Main Dining room (dinner and breakfast) was terrific. The dining room service was great. Now the downside. The place is old, charming, but...

We have been going to the Red Lion Inn for over 30 years, and we are still amazed at how well run such a large inn can be. Now under a second or third generation of family management, The Red Lion always rises to the occasion on big holidays like Christmas, New Year's and July 4th where they can feed...

Being from Australia, this town is exactly what I would expect Christmas to look like. This hotel is where I expect Christmas bunks down for the night. Huge Christmas tree in the foyer with a harpist playing carols. We didn't stay here but we ate in the cafe which was very busy. But the staff were quick and organised. We...

If you can accept that you are staying in a very old building that has undergone a minimal of updates you will love the Red Lion and it's wonderful vintage charm. The carpets are threadbare and the hallways can be noisy. Our suite was charming with a nicely updated bathroom. A bit of a squeeze for a family with two...

My wife and I decided to do something different for Christmas and booked a 2-night stay at the Red Lion Inn over the holiday weekend. It was charming with all the decorations and almost felt like we were stepping back in time. At one point I half expected to see Bing Crosby joining us and other guests as we sang...

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the holiday décor, historic ambiance, and traditions we celebrate during the Christmas season. I am very surprised, however, to hear your comments about the bedding. In every guest room, we provide fine Italian linens and two feather pillows for each bed, with an additional two...

The Red Lion Inn is a nice New England Inn. A beautiful place to stay in the Berkshires. The hotel has a lot of charm and history. The staff and service were excellent. My wife and I were celebrating our 24th anniversary and it was such a pleasant stay we plan on making this a tradition.

If it can get any better than sitting in front of a log fire listening to a harpist play Christmas Carols while drinking mulled wine on a Sunday evening the week before Christmas I don't know how. A packed entertainment agenda of choristers, live music, a pianist and the Tavern, traditional roasts and abundant meals, lots of drink options and...

The Red Lion has been one of our favorite places for decades. This year, we decided to re-create a couples get-together from the time decades ago before we had children. So we rented the Stafford House which is next door to the inn (we had previously taken Inn-owned houses somewhat further away but this was right across the driveway) and...

Thank you so much for taking the time to share how much you enjoyed your most recent stay with us. I am delighted to hear that you were able to recreate your pre-parental time with your friends and take advantage of the comfort of the Stafford House. Historic Inn in the heart of Stockbridge. Stopped for lunch with friends. Don't expect a quick meal - service was good, very professional, but deliberate. The grass fed burger with fries and greens was excellent, but the quiche was bland. Very nice atmosphere and gift shop. Worth a visit.
