My husband and I stayed in the Mt. Colvin (full) room on September 2 with its lovely view. We were in town to go to the Clark and the MassMOCA and found the Journey's End online. It was a great choice for us, close to everything, full of charm, and with delightful hosts. We enjoyed cocktails with a view on...

August and September are always busy at Journey's End Lodge, in Williamstown and neighboring communities. We're glad that we could host you for your visit to the Van Gogh exhibit at the Clark and look forward to your return for future visits - perhaps to the Williamstown Theatre Festival, also in August and September. It's especially gratifying to us that...

Second trip to this lodge. First one was great because I was downstairs away from everything. TV, spa tub and spacious. Most recent trip...not so much. Chose a less expensive room and had to leave after the first night. No TV in the room which would have come in handy to drown out the snoring neighbor. Heard every bodily function...

Mike T came downstairs, bag in hand and ready to leave, exclaiming as he climbed the stairs: "I cannot live without a TV." He is the only such guest Journey's End has had; we have no TVs in 4 of our 5 rooms; only Mount Cobble is so supplied. Our guests generally have a happy agenda away from the Lodge...

The Berkshire mountains have been a favorite getaway for my wife and I for many years primarily because of the Clark Art Museum. (The close by Mass MOCA and Williams College museums are also outstanding). This year's visit was made even more enjoyable by our discovery of the Journey's End Lodge (thank you Tripadvisor!) Other reviewers have already applied all...

Paul S - we at Journey's End are pleased that our Lodge has provided you with an additional reason to visit the Berkshires and, while here, a place to stay and, among other things, enjoy breakfast. We enjoy bringing to our breakfast table culinary treats that we've learned to enjoy on our travels. Recently, we brought Ecuador to our table...

This wonderful B&B is perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful, beautiful lodging which feels like it's in the mountains, but is actually located in Williamstown, with all interesting attractions. It's a beautifully designed log house which features four guest rooms, a spacious living area with a high ceiling, and a dining room with views over the treetops. It is cozy,...

Dear Sharron K, when our guests enjoy Journey's End Lodge for all those reasons that inspired its Adirondack design and its placement on this heavily wooded tract of Williamstown we feel that we've succeeded. This Lodge is literally and figuratively our journey's end, our home to which we've retiired and which we share with travelers seeking a peaceful, beautiful mountain-like...

My husband and I stayed in the Mt. Cobble room this past weekend. It was a beautiful room on the lower level with lots of privacy. Because it was away from the other rooms it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the large tub was wonderful to soak in after a long day of hiking. Carlos and Alan...

Dear Cititraveler thank you for stayhing with us at our Journey's End and we look forward to your return. Like you, many of our guests are hikers, bicyclists, or joggers and, without exception, they've all enjoyed recuperating in whichever room they chose to stay in while here. We've always made sure to have cookies and other treats available for our...

This was our second stop on our journey from NYC through Massachusetts. We were met by the lovely Carlos who introduced us with great pride to the magnificent log house that is Journey's End. Dear Browney3, it was delightful to meet you and to host your visit to Williamstown and our home - Journey's End. As you know from our conversations, we chose this site for our Journey's End because of the surrounding mountains, the wetlands and woods which abut our property, and the peaceful atmosphere these combine to produce. We enjoyed sharing our...

We stayed here during a getaway trip to Vermont and the Berkshires. The hosts here are very nice and Williamstown is a fun place to visit. However, this place is way too noisy, a point made in other reviews also (but not made emphatically enough). The walls do nothing to prevent you from hearing your neighbors. We could hear in...

Journey's End is entirely a log structure, with the exception of the conventional (2"x4" frame) walls that separate the bedrooms/baths upstairs. Inevitably, some sound travels through these and we have measures to mute even this noise. But, we cannot mute all noise; some guests are just noisier than others and, when appropriate, we've intervened. While here, you voiced no noise...

It was a pleasure hosting your brief, and look forward to your future longer visit to Williamstown and Journey's End Lodge. We enjoyed hosting your visit to the Berkshires and thank you for acknowledging our efforts to address any dietary issues our guests may have. Every monring we shape a breakfast that fits everyone's dietary needs. Thus, if one of our guests is vegan, why, everyone gets a vegan treat. We loved our two night stay here. We agree with many others' comments about Journey's End: the building, hosts and food are all exceptional. We also liked our huge downstairs bedroom. And I especially enjoyed talking with Alan about the building's planning and construction. Great place.
