Every time I need a hotel, I look to the Townsend. If I book far enough in advance, I am able to reserve a room. Very comfortable property with great location. Love that they are dog friendly, which in my opinion adds a wonderful dimension to the experience. Love seeing the tea set up near the North entrance. I have...

But for the money, rooms need to be updated. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is super nice. However, for the price point I expect a room to have a luxurious feel to it. However, here it did not. I appreciated the staff. They were AWESOME

Very classy and expensive boutique hotel. Excellent service levels to help justify the cost. Great location near restaurants and galleries. Afternoon tea, very good restaurant and quaint bar finish it off.

Classic and elegant! Loved it- will stay again for sure- love the location if you are spending the night in Birmingham. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Valet service is on point and drinks at the grille were great!

Very nice hotel. Very expensive, but pleasant despite that. Staff were friendly and attentive. The only problem was that there was some kind of event one evening and I could hear the bass from the dance music in my room all night long. That was not enjoyable. But the rest of the hotel was very nice.

Beyond what we asked for. I truly loved the service here. I would love to come back again maybe when there are some better deals going on. It was home away from home. But I truly love our stay. Customer service was impeccable!

We had a junior suite with the romance package. Wonderful experience!! Everything was perfect from the champaign, the rose petal turndown, chocolate covered strawberries and the "special" intimacy gift! I will be looking forward to other holiday package deals!

Same overall experience as the Four Seasons Hotel but in a boutique hotel setting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lobby and other public areas, and rooms feel luxurious. Beds were mostly comfortable (too hard for my liking).
