The moment we drove up to the place we had our doubts.
The desk clerk was very low key.
First room I got was small, with a bathroom so small you could barely function in it.
The ceiling was peeling and it looked foreboding.

We do have a monthly pest control contract to assure that we don't have normal pests throughout the facility. There is no chemical treatment that will kill bed bug eggs.
We have a quarterly inspection by trained canines that can detect bed bugs and they inspect every room to ensure that we don't have any bed bugs. It's the most pro-active approach of any hotel that I am aware of.
In addition, our housekeeping personnel are trained on what to look for when they make up the beds so that they can make sure we don't have issues. Should someone bring bed bugs into the facility, we have the room treated Immediately with both chemical (to kill adults) and heat to kill any eggs in the room. This is the only way to assure that the room is 100% bed bug free.
We rarely have complaints and when we do, we call in the exterminator who normally finds that there are no problems in the room. It is very rare for our facility to experience an issue, but on the rare occasion that it does occur, we deal with it immediately and effectively.
I feel confident that our facility is the least likely facility to experience a problem with bed bugs due to the diligence and pro-active actions that we take to ensure that our property is bed bug free.
