My husband and I visited this motel while on a road trip through Michigan and Wisconsin and stayed for one night. The location was fantastic. The beach is a few hundred feet away and it was stunning. We booked a king room, but when we arrived there was not one available. We understand things like this happen so we would...

Stayed in September and some of the outlets didn't work. No problem hearing people walking around upstairs. We really did enjoy our stay, as all we really did here, is lay our heads to sleep. So, we booked to stay again. Then here it is, three days before our trip, they called saying, they are closing early. So our reservations...

No A/C, the TV didn't work, wi-fi spporadic... no hairdryer, not particularly clean, and the door wouldn't lock properly (rm 34), the frame was all wonky like it had been jimmied, and the deadbolt wouldn't engage. To start with the location of this hotel is Prime real estate. It is within a few hundred feet of the shore on a peninsula. We could not find it to begin with because it listed as a visitor centeron the sign outside . When we got there the note on the door said no ice cream and no restaurant...

We stayed on a Sunday night with no notice, and were immediately given a warm welcome by Chris and Chelsea (presumably the owners, as they were there in the evening and the next morning at checkout). The gift shop was well stocked and fun. Sadly, the restaurant and ice cream shop were closed. We were checked into a basic but...

Looking for a no frills place to stay in Grand Marais ? This is your place. OK pricing, but VERY basic room - nice comfy chairs however. Rooms were large, and clean, but the older part of the motel where we stayed needs some TLC. No locks on the sliding windows........ Two free bags of ice for your coolers come...

Used to come here every summer, but it's been 4 or 5 years. Was shocked by how far it had gone downhill and at how high the price--though I admit the old pricing was a great deal. Now the pool, sauna, hot tub and ping pong table are gone. So are the dining room, the chairs by the door to...

The place looks great on the outside but the rooms awful. electrical outlets hanging out the walls, the bath toilet roll holder had no holder so toilet paper had to be on the bath tub. The place was gross. Had to be moved to another room cause the main screen was 1/2 off the window and the room full of...
