The Hotel was very clean, comfortable bed, staff friendly, and beautiful view! I am usually a clean freak and was relieved when I walked in and saw how neat and clean the room was! We stayed up stairs and was also very quiet! We would stay again!

This was a good value. The room was comfortable, the owner was friendly and there was a nice view of the lake. The hot tub was hot and so was the sauna. The town has a limited number of options for dining, but at least one more restaurant is opening soon. The diner in town is open for breakfast and... More

The rooms are big and have a nice view of the harbor. There is a very small tv, small coffee pot, good size mini fridge and a toaster in the room. The indoor hot tub was a nice surprise. My only complaint is that the floors are squeaky so if you are on the first floor you will hear every... More

I was leery of staying here only b/c I had no idea what kind of motel it was. Boy was I shocked! It had a gorgeous view of the lake and it was so quiet and peaceful. The rooms were very clean and the owners were friendly and very accommodating. Would come back and stay for longer next time!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this motel. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. Very clean room and quite comfortable. Beautiful view of the harbor from the lawn. Not many choices in this tiny town but we appreciated this facility. Very quiet too.

We just stayed here one night, the owner was very friendly and gave us some recommendations for places to eat, both places were good. We had an upstairs room so had a nice water view. It was so nice and quite there so we had a very good night sleep. We arrived a little later in the evening and the hot... More

My wife and I stayed at the Voyageur for 4 nights while vacationing in Grand Marais. We chose this motel based upon the reviews and it did not disappoint. Keep in mind that this is not a 5 Star resort area. We had multiple family members in Grand Marais at the same time who stayed in other establishments. We toured... More

We stayed at the Voyageurs for a night. Wish we could stay more. The owners are a very friendly, hardworking couple who care for their customers' needs. The view of Lake Superior from the room is awesome (an upstairs room would be even better). The room was very clean, was bigger in size than a typical room in other similarly... More

We made a drive through the upper peninsula for a few days and visited Grand Marais along Lake Superior. We elected to stay at The Voyageur. The owner, Delphine, was very cheery and helpful when we registered and gave us tips on where to eat in town etc. Our room was immaculately clean and what an awesome view of the... More

We stayed here in the winter. Though VERY clean, it is somewhat outdated, but we didn't expect a fancy hotel by any means. Sink outside where the shower/toilet is, but not alot of space for 2 people's belongings-make up, etc. Lots of space for trucks/trailers, so great for us. We arrived later at night and they were very helpful. Has... More

First of all thank you for telling people that our place is clean but saying we are dated? that word is so over used these days. We bought the Voyageurs Motel 11 years ago when it was so ran down that the heating wasn't working at all and of course we bought in the winter (driving in a blizzard coming... More
