From the pictures online it looks like a standard newer style hotel. I booked this online to stay while visiting MTU. BUT - don't be fooled. Inside, the hotel is old and it smells bad. Room had an old ceiling all patched up and a very small bath. It is an old-style motel that is covered by a newer front...

My husband and I recently stayed for five nights at this newly renovated Quality Inn. The exterior and the lobby are beautiful! They did a great job with the entire renovation! We appreciated being welcomed with kindness after a long trip and the coffee bar is a great addition!. The rooms were spacious with a modern decor and a refrigerator...

Even though this hotel is built on the side of a mountain, our view from the fifth floor was fantastic. I was skeptical about having to go around the block again and even asked if we could get a room on the lobby side. The attendent said "oh, you WANT this room, the view is amazing". So glad she recommended...

I had an extended stay there. Beds comfy. Tv was fine. Was nice to have a microwave and small refrigerator. Would be nice to have laundry facilities. I asked for an accessible room as I have difficulty walking and use a cane. I was put on the 6th floor. We had no car so the desk person was nice enough...

This is pretty much a brand new hotel. They took over the travel lodge and completely renovated it from top to bottom. We typically stay at another hotel in the area but the Quality Inn has won us over for the next time we are in...

Quality Inns and Suites did a nice facelift to the iconic Travelodge. New brickwork and siding on the outside and new carpet and fixtures indoors. The lobby looks very nice now and the breakfast area has new tables along with some extra food items. The pool looks like it's been upgraded but I'm not certain as I never used it...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Located right on main drag of Houghton, close to lots of food, small shops, river / canal with walking path. About 5 minute drive to MTU Campus. Front desk staff cheerful and efficient. The hotel is built into a hillside overlooking the canal. Asked for and was assigned upper (6th floor) room. Lots of stairs...

The hotel is right down town and has been redone. The pool area and exercise areas are great. The shower and toilet area are really small, but the folks working the desk and the breakfast lady, Donna, were great. Donna made us feel like we were guest in her own home. She was fantastic. For no other reason, go because...

This is probably the most overpriced hotel I've ever stayed in. It is an old motel that has been remodeled, but it can't overcome problems like tiny bathrooms, noisy rooms, and inconvenient parking. Our room had fruit flies. The beds were comfortable and hot breakfast items were available, but I would consider this an $80/night hotel charging twice that based...

We stayed at the "new and completely remodeled" hotel. It was just OK!! The carpeting had not been replaced. They did, however, replace the old CRT TV sets with lcd tvs. Too bad they did not set them up correctly. The picture on the new set was very small and didn't come close to filling the screen. The bed was...
