Detailed Reviews
Me and my family spend the night there whilst visiting family members . The Crown is a lovely pub with great character and the rooms were extremely pleasant . It was very clean and offered a range of facilities .
The bathroom was very clean and hygienic and consist of having a bath and shower . It was a very spacious room . The bed was comfortable to enable a good night's sleep .
The food was excellent and value for money , staff was very friendly and efficient . The play area outside was very safe and my granddaughter loved playing on the equipment and had lots of fun . Overall I would highly recommend a stay over or longer at this beautiful pub/ hotel . It offers value for money both on meals and rooms . Will be returning very soon . Thankyou all the staff at The Crown for a perfect stay .

The Crown is on the main road about a 2 mile drive from Droitwich Spa. There is plenty of free parking on site too. The dining and pub areas are very clean and bright. There’s plenty of room to move around. The building is on the flat too with double doors for decent wheelchair access. There is a large garden area with plenty of seating.
The room we stayed in(room 2) was downstairs quite close to the pub but you don’t here any noise from there. There is a good size bathroom with a bath and shower. Also, there is 11 plug sockets, some with USB’s. The room was clean and welcoming as were the staff. We had a meal and drinks there but the beers are a bit limited in selection. The menu is fairly good and the food was freshly cooked, hot and tasty.
As I said, the pub is on a main road. The traffic can be quite busy early in the morning so might not be very good for a light sleeper. All in all, we would go again as we wanted to explore Droitwich Spa more.

I visited for a quick meal, and was greeted by friendly staff and excellent service. The food was top quality and was served in amazing time and it was extremely nice and full of flavour. The staff once again were amazing, very friendly and approachable.
The pub is situation in a nice location with very little road noise which is another positive once again would definitely recommend to people in the area or for passers by.

The good:
Great staff
Clean rooms
Comfy beds
Good sized rooms
Food great
Good prices
The bad:
Room 8 has the boiler for the whole building in a cupboard, at night this sounds like a washing machine full of wheel nuts for 10 minutes every other 10 minutes.
2hrs sleep 1st night.
Moved to the next room along number 9, I could still hear it, 4hrs sleep that night and the next.
I’m a seasoned traveller and even with earplugs it was bad.

The room we stayed in was very tired and could have done with a good deep clean! The bathroom is in dire need of refurbishment and dust was prevalent in many places. The sound proofing isn't great as it seems you are either next to the busy main road or the noisy kitchen extractor fan.
Breakfast was a bit of a joke at just under £7 each. We arrived down in the morning and found we were the only people in the bar area. There were no clean cups left at the buffet area and the tea and coffee were luke warm at best (as was the fry up). My advice would be to go to McDonald's next door instead.
I was disappointed at the drinks selection, especially with it being a Marston's pub. On the first night, I was served a pint of Pedigree that was off. This is completely understandable, but sadly the barrel wasn't changed so the only choice of ale was Hobgoblin. I did see a Wainwright pump, but that was also off.
I thought hard about this review as, at around £65 a night it does represent value for money. However at this price range, they are competing with chains such as Premier Inn and Holiday and really do need to up their game.

We booked a room at this establishment for 4 nights as we were attending a music festival nearby. The room was clean and seemed perfect for our needs. Unfortunately the toilet did not flush properly and took 3-4 flushes to actually take away toilet paper. We reported this to a cleaner but nothing was done during our 3 night stay. When we ordered breakfast on the first morning we were told their coffee machine was broken but they could give us filter coffee. The coffee was so stewed it had obviously been left over from the day before. The next two mornings I was offered instant coffee which I do not like and was therefore unable to get a hot drink with my breakfast as I do not drink tea. On the last morning we went for breakfast there was no juices or milk on show and we were told they had run out of orange juice. We returned to our room, packed and left a day early because of the abysmal service. We will not be returning. Since then I have remembered that we stayed there a year ago and I was unable to get coffee with my breakfast then as their machine was broken. If this is the general standard of Marstons inns I would be reluctant to use them again.

Couldn't fault the waitresses at all, they were all so lovely and very chatty. However, we had to wait an hour for our food to arrive and so did the table next to us, despite the restaurant not being busy. When it did finally arrive, the salad came with dressing even though we had specified for it to come with no dressing. Again not the waitresses fault as we could see she had put it through on the till. The chicken on both hunter's chickens we ordered were both extremely dry and the bacon on the one was burnt. You would've thought the food would be decent after taking so long to come. Prices don't reflect the food, we payed £14 for one hunters chicken, won't be eating here again.

Overall very good. Room was fine. Comfortable bed and got a good night's sleep. Food in evening and breakfast good. (Evening meals 2 for the price of 1 plus 20% off if staying there.) The room itself was only £27 for the night - cheaper even than Premier Inn and I'd say it's a slightly better standard.
Staff very friendly and helpful but felt very sorry that few people staying and very few eating there due to Covid rules.

Very comfy bed tea and coffee and biscuits provided, lovely staff very welcoming friendly and professional when we arrived, breakfast was good. Pub is nice had a pool table nice atmosphere. Rooms are dated bathrooms need an upgrade but plenty of hot water lots of paint peeling off in the rooms needs a bit of tlc but for what we needed it for was perfectly adequate.

Terrible service from start to finish !!
Waited an hour and 20 minutes for food with everyone around us complaining too, after asking how long food would be after waiting 1h 20 mins they had the audacity to say sorry you will have to get off this table it’s booked out shortly!!
After confronting the manager he said sorry he knew he messed up and got frustrated and gave us a refund which didn’t help after wasting a few hours , will not be ever returning as this is really bad management and he knows

Just a couple of miles but there is a large garden centre with restaurants, deli, butchers and bakers on the same road as well as a McDonalds, Post Office and Hairdressers.
Breakfast 07.00 to 09.30 as I recall. One of the best full English/Welsh/Irish/Scottish breakfasts ever!
