As a residence person in Alkhums I can say we don't have other hotel better than Severus which situated at the entrance of the city at quite area which offer a sight to the sea outthere. You can irder a taxi to Leptis Magna which maximum cost you 5 LYD and it takes less than 10 mins to get there...

couldnt get into this Hotel as it was full when i visited Leptis Magna, so i had to stay in the neighbouring Al hasani hotel. There arent many hotels in Al Homs as so few people are visiting LM because of the security concerns. Al Hasani wasnt good, shower only, poor room service, i though hotel in need of refurbishment,...

For a small town such as Alokhms considered a wonderful hotel I stayed in hotel twice, once in summer and once in the winter I lived in a suite frankly stay very pleasant and eating extravaganza. I would enthusiastically endorse the views of the previous reviewer. I stayed at the Severus Hotel for one night in November 2009 and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to other travellers. The advantage of staying overnight in Al Khoms, the town nearest to the spectacular Roman ruins of Leptis Magna, is that you can visit them during...

We insisted on two days at Leptis in our Libya itinerary. That was a really sensible decision - a day trip from Tripoli would have given us hardly any time at the massive site where you could actually spend 3 or more days.
