Palm Beach Resort is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! It's very quiet and clean with excellent service. The food is fantastic!!! And I have to disagree with Fem13 - the food is NOT over-priced, e.g. pasta costs about 750 Rs in most restaurants in Sri Lanka (and it tastes more like noodles mixed with some unknown stuff), in Palm...

Having exhausted almost all our menu options (we're quite fussy eaters) at the Chaaya Blu where we were staying, my partner and I, upon recommendation, decided to visit Palm Beach's Italian restaurant for dinner. One thing one must know about Trinco, is that food choices aren't far and wide; ordering a hamburger would give you a slightly suspect variation of...

This is a reasonably priced little hotel, rooms were basic but very clean and fairly comfortable. There are other guesthouses in the area with similar rooms for slightly cheaper. My main issue was regarding food prices - sure some of the items are imported from Italy and the dinners were excellent. But the prices are out of this world! be...

I spent 2 days in this lovely location. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the food is excellent, the service very good. The italian couple who run the place are dedicated and very friendly. This is the best value for money in Trinco for sure...

Situated very close to the beach (about 50 meters). Nice green garden with lots of shade from the hot sun! Rooms range from around thousand rupees upwards. All of them are very clean and some have A/C. The highlight is of course the amazing Italian food, home-made by Donna. Everything is fresh, there is no set-menu. Just depends on what...

We stayed at Palm Beach (PB) for 5 nights. Firstly we were going to stay at Shiva's place nearby, but after comparing the accomodations we decided to choose PB. PB is managed by the Italian couple (Donna & Luca) and little bit more expensive, but provides nice and clean territory around the guest house, the place itself is separated by...

It's hard to describe Palm Beach Resort, as the last thing many travellers who venture to Trincomalee are looking for is great pasta, incredible coffee, and a warm Italian welcome. But that's the paradox; it's not until you discover this gem of a place do you realize that perhaps after such a long journey to the quieter eastern side of...

A lovely green oasis very close to the sea. The hotel is surrounded by lush green trees and an open restaurant just in the middle, with its striking bright orange pillars. Very simple but elegant and well maintained. Dona and Luca, the lovely Italian couple runs the business and take care of their guests with a personal touch. There is...

“I visited the restaurant only. Do discuss food options and things that are not on the menu. Ask for less salt (some things were oversalted for me)”

“Budget rooms are available on a house right next door, either with shared or private bathroom. The difference is price is big enough (2000 vs over 4000) so it's a good option. Only downside (apart from being obviously less nice) is that the gate is not secure, so beware that before opening your room door to strangers).”
