We arrived without a booking and were quickly accommodated by the staff. Great location only 2min walk to the beach. Slightly more expensive than our budget but worth it with inclusive breakfast, large double room, ensuite and a/c. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us and provided us with excellent meals and freshly caught and wonderfully cooked...

Our friends were staying in the nearby Nilaveli Beach Hotel and as we were travelling on a budget we found what we thought was a little gem of a place at Nilaveli Garden Inn. The rooms were basic but adequate so we thought we would be happy. How wrong we were! Our driver, who we happened to be good friends...

Old property, very good location though. Close to 3 diving centers and 200m from Nilaveli Beach. Next door there is Nilaveli Beach Hotel with excellent restaurant and swimming pool. Beach is quiet nice, not crowded at all. Hotel is 15km from the city.

I ended up at the Nilaveli Garden Inn by accident having tried to book into the possibly now defunct Hotel Mauro - further up the coast. I was charged 3500 rupees a night for B&B, staying in a very adequate and spacious room that could have slept three. The bathroom was clean but there was no hot water. I didn't...

Quite a strange feeling this hotel : very big and very empty. The staff was not a joyfull bunch but I don't blame them. An impression of lost people trying to do their best to keep the place running and from falling apart. The food was OK though and it is very near to the beach. Don't stay more than...

Upon check in everything seemed promising. I was offered a room for about 3000r with a/c or one for about 2000r with no a/c. For 2000r the room was a steal. It had a nice shower, it was spacious in both the room and the bathroom. It had a nice mosquito net. There is no where to eat in the...

This place seems to have some quite bad reviews and I am not sure why, I think people were unlucky ... The manager Mr Sarad was great, and I think he is new so maybe things have improved. He very kindly let me use his office when I needed to receive an important phone call. There were no problems with...

The place had clean rooms and an ok bathroom, but for the price you pay and the service you get, you need to avoid this place! We had to change our room 3 times as the AC would not work, AC is the only reason you stay at this place. The manager kept telling us it worked and just to...
