CLUB DIVE PARADISE, FRENCH GARDEN If you want hammocks, day beds, beach and coconut palm trees then this is the place for you. Don't expect service and I would not recommend using them if you want to go snorkelling, diving or whale/dolphin watching. They told two girls that the sunrise whale/dolphin watching was 2500 rupees each then told a couple...

the place is just lovely, to be honest. bungalows are simple and you ll see some cockroaches and alot of mosquitos hanging out in them but for 2000-2500 and nice seaview and breeze thats alright, its after all a backpacker place. the food really isnt good anymore, sorry, but this must have changed. better walk to the road and get...

I was here for 4 nights, not the one on the beach which has the same name, but the one at about 200m from the beach. The first nice room I found in Sri-Lanka for this price (3000rupias). Perfect location near the beach (1 minute walking),room are quite big, modern, nice bathroom and shower, clean, you can take by yourself clean towels and toilet...

Bungalows Next to the beach without A/C are horrible, boiling hot and full of mosquitos. The bar close to the apartaments play music late. Other options are better in the same road. Please, check before booking here.

We spent one night and then moved to the next hotel. They play very loud music. They think music will help attracting tourists but they actually bother the whole beach. If someone could explain them that tourists are looking for calm and quiet environment.... especially at night but also in the day... Awrful!

I stayed here for 5 days, but mainly for the location! We were looking for something right on the beach with hammocks, and thats what we got. The rooms are cheap but you really get what you pay for. Dirty rooms, mosquito nets with holes and terrible beds. Best to just sleep in the hammocks. We paid the same price...

We were staying 3 nights in a room of the french garden resort in Uppuveli, which was new opened in may 2016. It was very very nice and cheap. The hostel owner organized our wonderful snorkeling and delfin/whale tours, which were cheap, too.

The pros - location, price, owner. The cons are, if you are looking for big hostel with clean and spacious bathroom, you wont be happy. If you are punk traveller, go for it, we didnt regret. You can watch sunrise from your bed. Breakfast is the same like everywhere else - eggs.

This is probably the cheapest place to stay in Trinco with the best view. But the price definitely reflects the facilities so if you're on a budget its great and just know not to expect anything flash..or clean. We didnt eat here, only slept and we left early after two nights (meant to be four) as we just didnt like...

Mixed feelings, the service was lousy, rooms were dirty, and they didn't include soap, towels or even toilet paper! I had to go to another venue to find a toilet with TP. Also, no mirror in the bathroom (looked like it was ripped off the wall). The internet is a cheap, throttled subscription. During the evening, it took 10 minutes...
