I stayed one night at the Kastelberg whilst working locally. Having tried many other hotels in the area, I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Located at the edge of the village with a large car park, the hotel has a mix of different room types all named after local wines. My room, a Gewürztraminer, was very generously sized with...

Very friendly owners & staff. Nice dining/breakfast-room. Good food. The room itself was a bit outdated, but the clean beds were great. The room we slept in could need an update. Nothing wrong with outdated rooms though, as long as the rest makes up for it. And, it did. Like I said; nice, friendly & helpful owners. The only thing...

We stayed for one night on our trip along the Alsatian wine route. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Generous breakfast buffet. The view from our room was idyllic, out over the vineyards. Staff very friendly. Parking on site.

Such a pretty hotel and village. Stayed one night. Warm welcome and lots of parking. Rooms were also pretty but no air con so very hot. I was able to leave the balcony door open and room became much cooler. Others in the party only had a window and they did struggle with the heat. My only complaint would be...

We have tried several other hotels in the region, but Kastelberg is our hotel of choice. The welcome from the Wach family is always warm, the rooms are comfortable without being elaborate and the food is always good, if a little too generous for me. Breakfast includes fresh compôte, fruit, meats, cheese, yoghurt, very good breads (which change from day...

We were booked into this hotel for one night,on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis,( demi pension) as part of our walking holiday. We arrived at the hotel in the rain and left next morning in the rain! Our room was comfortable and warm enough for us to dry our washing,(shirts, socks and jocks) and our walking boots. The hotel...

Andlau is the perfect place to explore the middle and northern parts of Alsace, wether it be wine, cykling or walking. Nature is lovely and the setting on the slopes of Les Vosges is stunning. Unfortunately the hotel is not that stunning. It looks like something my parents would have visited in the early seventies. I couldn't connect my I-phone...

I have recently come back from a holiday as this hotel. The manager was so happy all the time-always smiling, and he also did the cooking which was excellent. There are wine tasting facilities nearby and the wine is lovely. The region is very pretty and I would certainly recommend this holiday.

The hotel is quite typical of Germany/Alsace, but the restaurant is fantastic. While it was more expensive than the other places we dined at in Andlau, the meal was the best. The onion tarte/ Riesling chicken/sorbet 20 euro menu was great. My husband enjoyed his foie gras and steak, though those menu items were more expensive. The wine selection is...
