We stayed for 2 nights as part of a walking holiday and thought the food, service, room (22) and views were great. Caroline and Matthias are welcoming and knowledgeable hosts. It was lovely to come back to the welcome of a beer on the terrace, a hot shower in the heated and well-equipped bathroom, and the promise of a fabulous...

This hotel is beautifully situated high above the village of Lapoutroie in Alsace with resultant panoramic views over it, the valley and surrounding hills. The terrace is a great place to have breakfast at the start of the day or to wind down at the end of the day. Recently renovated, the spacious and comfortable rooms (some offering panoramic views)...

We have been visiting this hotel for many years and are always returning because of the fantastic situation, the quality of the food and last but not least the nice and warm welcome and attitude of the owners (second generation). Therefore a sustained "excellent" score. We were very surprised about the poor comments of the McCoffey couple; we were there...

Great views and good food; although only here for one night due to availability we loved the place and the welcome given to us and our dog was warm and friendly. Our room (24) was fresh and light with fabulous views and a good shower room completed our needs. The restaurant (see separate review) also has astounding views and makes...

We had a lovely room looking over the valley in this hotel. It was large and so was the shower room. There were two small problems, the shower pressure was very low and the wifi very erratic. It also did not have kettles, safe or minibar but it was very comfortably furnished. The staff and owners were very friendly and...

Arrived on a very hot afternoon about 2 00pm expecting a rest and a cold drink. The situation is magnificent. The mountain views superb. The drive up a bit hair raising, but worth it. We were very disappointed to discover it closed. Gardeners were working on the garden. It looked like a building site. We assumed it was closed down...

Have really enjoyed our visit. Place is located in a very remote rural setting. One of the places where you do not hear motorway noise (which is rare nowadays) Hotel is very clean and has all basic fittings for good quality sleep. Restaurant is worth to visit even without staying in the hotel. Food was superb, one of the rare...

We had another very pleasant stay here, a very quiet, comfortable & relaxing base for exploring the beautiful villages of the Alsace. Our room in the main building was very comfortable and elegant in it’s simplicity, tho they do need to replace the latching mechanism in one of the windows. The bath was modern & spotless. The food was very...

The location of this place is very nice: you have to travel a bit up the mountains, but you gain a very good position in return. There's a free parking outside the hotel. The structure appears quite new, the room was spacious and comfortable, although we had a very small window not overlooking the panorama. We could enjoy the view...

The view is very nice overlooking the valleys and hills but the room is rated very high for the comfort you get.( our window was broken, the fan in the bathroom very loud, no good internet access in the room) We had dinner in the restaurant, it was good but not excellent. The breakfast is again nice, but no fresh orange...
