This is a pleasant old building in an old part of town, delightfully located overlooking a tree lined park and beyond to the Gironde and the Citadel. Staying here means you are in the center of everything, you are even just two minutes away from the ferry to the Medoc and Margaux over the Gironde. The house is old both... More

In addition Clarissa is a well known artist and Les is a widely recognised wine expert. The location is outstanding, in the charming town of Blaye with views on the Garonne estuary and the impressive 17th century Citadelle just across the... More

You have 2 choices. A B&B room in the old house (the villa), where breakfast is served, or an apartment close by. We decided for one of the wonderful and nicely decorated apartments in an old beautifully renovated house opposite the B&B building (you are still able to have the B&B breakfast). We however stayed in our spacious, split-level appartement,... More

We have stayed at Villa St Simon now on three occasions,Each on the way through on a journey to Spain. We found the old world styling of the villa with its rooms filled with old furniture, wine memorabilia and paintings completely to our taste. Rooms are always neat tidy and welcoming. Our room was large with lovely beds and linen, original floors, big windows to the street and high ceilings. There is a kitchen for guests use if you need to self cater,... More

Me and my partner Wendy stayed here for two nights this October. The owners Les and Clarissa made us feel so welcome. The room was so comfy and there were plenty of towels and toiletries. There is a room for making tea or coffee and if you want to prepare any food you can do that too. There is a... More

We stayed in one of the self catering apartments offered by Villa St Simon. It was ideal for us. A short walk from the Chambre d'hote down a side street, it was roomy and quiet with all the facilities needed. Breakfast was offered at Villa St Simon and this was very good with lovely croissant, bread and jam, an abundance... More
