We have just had a lovely fortnight at Le Rocher de la cave. Staff were helpful and hard working, and forgiving of my terrible French. We hired a fridge which was brilliant. Facilities were a little tired, but kept spotlessly clean. They have just openened a brand new sanitaire block which is perfect. Shower temperature is fully controllable in all showers and pressure is very good. Most of the pitches have some shade which was very welcome because we had 30° heat every day. Then we get to the location. What can I say other than perfect. I can't imaginine anywhere in a better location. The campsite is right next to the river and they rent canoes. It is also easy walking or running distance to the local town. It is also very close to a bike track with a beautifully smooth surface where you can cycle to Sarlat. Taking the other route leads up river and through a 400m tunnel. Definitely on my list of top campsites. Highly recommended.…
