My friends and I had booked 3 rooms in advance, and although it was a bit of a challenge to find it down country roads, it was an enjoyable experience from the moment we arrived. There were several stone buildings, extensive lawns, a large flock of grey geese (which explained the exquisite foie gras), a heated swimming pool, many games... More

My small tour group spent a better part of a day with owner Marie Rose on her family farm. It was magical. First off Marie is friendly, welcoming and authentic. We had the wonderful surprise of meeting her son, who is the farm "shepherd". We learned about herding sheep - we actually participated in moving the heard. Their delightful puppy... More

Whatever you do, don't wake me up from this dream. It's a modest country inn, but it truly doesn't get better than this! I didn't believe that places like this still exist. I was part of a biking group, and we all loved it. Small cozy rooms, a couple of horses, some picturesque sheep, fabulous sheep dogs. rolling hillsides and... More

What a wonderful place! An impressive view on the surroundings, a beautiful (heated) swimming pool and pleasant tracks for an after-dinner stroll or a 2 hours walk. The location is great, in the middle of an area packed with touristic attractions of various kinds (small towns, prehistoric sites, castles...). Our room was very comfortable and pretty quiet - although there... More

Definately do recommend this lovely place. Everything was truly perfect. The small size rooms offer all amenities. The views are breathtaking and you are really in touch with nature. The food is very varied and homecooked. We really enjoyed staying in and tasting the local delicacies. A great pluspoint for families is the amazing game room where all children and... More

The welcome was warm. Marie-Rose was making sure we were fine during our all saty. . The breakfast could be served outside so we can enjoy the sunrise. The food is sourced from local producers and you can taste excellent and tasty yogurt and chocolate spread, among others... We wish we could have tried the restaurant for local dishes... It... More

First this "hotel" is not in the town of Meyrals which is important if you are hiking. Second expect a fans stay dramatically different from the similarly described hotel 300 m away at Lamy (that hotel I would recommend we went there for drinks and it was delightful). The food is very average and,for France, perhaps not to that level... More

Tranquil setting in well-appointed room, helpful owner who insisted on saving us a dinner when we were unexpectedly late. Heated covered outdoor pool is a plus. They make their own goose foie gras and the pate was delicious. Breakfasts and dinners excellent.

We were staying nearby in Les Eyzier, but were recommended by friends to have dinner at La Rhoine's. Certainly we were not disappointed. Although they offer a range of gites & C d'Hote the auberge is open for dinners, but worth booking in advance. The location and ambiance of the place is beautiful, at the end of a dead end... More
